A complete SIP phone,
powered by the network cable.

The D713 opens Snom's D7xx series: a 2.8-inch colour display, six SIP accounts, a two-port Gigabit switch and PoE power. Placed on a desk or mounted on a wall, it connects to a single network socket.

Keys that label themselves on the display

To the right of the display, four SmartLabel function keys get their label directly on the colour screen: no more paper labels to reprint when a colleague changes desk. They can be assigned a speed dial, an extension to monitor or a function, and their multicolour LED shows at a glance whether the monitored line is free or busy. Below the display, four context keys and a five-way navigator browse the menus.

One socket for the phone and the PC

The built-in switch has two Gigabit RJ45 ports: one goes to the network, the other feeds the computer next to it, without limiting it to 100 Mbit/s. On an IEEE 802.3af PoE switch, the network cable also powers the phone. The phone supports IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, LLDP-MED and dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6.

Every function has its own key

The D713 has 38 physical keys. Eight are reserved for everyday actions: confirm, cancel, do not disturb, messages with their red LED, directory, menu, transfer and hold. Five more control the audio: mute, speaker, headset and the volume rocker, lined up below the keypad.

Clear voice, on the handset and hands-free

The phone supports HD audio with the G.722 and Opus wideband codecs. In hands-free mode, the speaker works in full duplex with echo cancellation: both parties can speak at the same time without cutting each other off. The handset is hearing-aid compatible. For long days on the phone, a wired headset plugs into the dedicated RJ9 jack, and a wireless headset goes through the RJ12 EHS port.

Ready to deploy, at scale and securely

A fleet of phones is configured without touching them one by one: the D713 fetches settings and firmware over HTTP, HTTPS or TFTP, reads DHCP options 66 and 67 and works with the Snom SRAPS redirection service. Calls can be encrypted with SIP over TLS and SRTP, and the built-in OpenVPN client links a remote phone to the company network.

The power adapter is not in the box: without a PoE switch, plan for the Snom 10 W adapter (5 V DC). For wall mounting, the two screws and their wall plugs are also needed.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the power adapter included with the Snom D713?
No. The box contains the phone, its stand, the handset, an Ethernet cable and the installation guide. The D713 is powered through the network cable with IEEE 802.3af PoE; without a PoE switch you need the Snom 10 W power adapter (5 V DC, reference 00004570), sold separately.
Can the computer be connected behind the phone?
Yes. The D713 has a built-in two-port Gigabit RJ45 switch: one port goes to the network, the other to the computer. A single wall socket is therefore enough for the phone and the PC, without limiting the computer to 100 Mbit/s.
How many lines can be configured on the D713?
The phone accepts 6 SIP identities or accounts and handles up to 6 simultaneous calls. It can ring for the reception line, a department line and a personal line, each with its own call forwarding settings.
Which phone system does it work with?
The D713 is a SIP phone: it registers with an IP PBX or a SIP telephony service. Basic features (hold, transfer, forwarding, 3-way conference) are handled by the phone; call park, busy lamp field and music on hold depend on what the IP PBX offers.
Which headsets can be connected to the Snom D713?
A wired RJ9 headset plugs into the dedicated headset jack, like the Snom A100 and A310. For a wireless headset, the phone has an RJ12 EHS port that accepts the Snom EHS Advanced 2.0 adapter, and the Snom A170 DECT headset connects via RJ9.
Can the D713 be mounted on a wall?
Yes. Wall mounting is supported by Snom: remove the stand's slide guides at the back of the unit and turn the cradle tab so the handset stays in place upright. The two screws and wall plugs are not included and should be chosen for the type of wall.
What angles does the stand offer?
The stand offers two tilt angles: 28° for a phone viewed from above, 46° to read the display more easily when seated. The phone then takes up 205 x 185 mm on the desk, with a depth of 200 to 220 mm depending on the chosen angle.
What are SmartLabel keys?
They are the 4 function keys to the right of the display: their label appears directly on the colour display, with no paper label. They can be assigned a speed dial, an extension to monitor or a function, and their multicolour LED shows, for example, a colleague's status.
Are calls encrypted?
Yes, if the IP PBX supports it: signalling runs over SIP over TLS and voice over SRTP. The phone also handles IEEE 802.1X network authentication and VLANs, and includes an OpenVPN client to reach the company network from a remote site.
How can several D713 phones be deployed without configuring them one by one?
The D713 is configured automatically through provisioning: it fetches its settings and firmware over HTTP, HTTPS or TFTP, recognises DHCP options 66 and 67 and works with the Snom SRAPS redirection service. TR-069 remote management is also supported.
Is the audio quality suitable for long conversations?
The D713 supports HD audio with the G.722 and Opus wideband codecs. In hands-free mode, the speaker works in full duplex with acoustic echo cancellation, and the handset is hearing-aid compatible.
