What is the difference between the 16 SIP accounts and the 10 lines of the GRP2615?

A SIP account is an identity registered with the PBX — a number, a department. A line key is a call in progress, visible on the screen. The GRP2615 handles 16 identities spread across 10 line keys: several numbers on a single phone.

What are the 40 BLF keys on the Grandstream GRP2615 for?

To see at a glance who is on a call in the team: each BLF key monitors an extension and lets you transfer a call to it with a single press. Forty keys is the standard for a reception or secretarial desk.

Can monitoring keys be added to the GRP2615?

Yes, with the GBX20 expansion module, which adds 40 keys per module. This is what lets you equip a switchboard monitoring several dozen extensions without changing phones.

Does the Grandstream GRP2615 work over Wi-Fi?

Yes, it has built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, 2.4 and 5 GHz, as well as Bluetooth. Wi-Fi saves you running a network cable to the desk — useful in an office where only a power socket is available.

Does the Grandstream GRP2615 need a power socket nearby?

Not necessarily: it is powered through the network cable (PoE). A 12 V power adapter is nonetheless supplied for installations where the switch does not deliver power — both scenarios are covered.
