The 8018 DeskPhone is a compact IP phone: a readable display, true hands-free and everything it takes to register on an OXO Connect or an OmniPCX. It suits a private office, a reception desk or a hotel room.

A single cable to the desk

The phone draws its power from the network socket, under the 802.3af standard: plugged into a PoE switch, it needs no power brick. Its second RJ-45 port connects the computer next to it to the network, through the built-in switch. One wall socket is therefore enough for both the phone and the PC.

The headset plugs in over USB

The side of the 8018 carries a USB port designed for audio: a headset, a speaker or a hands-free kit connect to it, and the same port slowly charges a smartphone. Without a headset, the wideband loudspeaker works in full duplex, with noise reduction and echo cancellation: both parties can speak at the same time without cutting each other off.

Six keys around the display, four at your command

The 2.4-inch display is framed by six soft keys that change role with the call. The four-way navigator, the OK and cancel keys and the 123 ↔ abc key let you call a colleague by name. Four programmable keys with LED, under their clear cover, take the most used numbers or features, with their paper label.

In the colours of the hotel or the company

The clip and faceplate of the 8018 can be customised with the establishment's logo, which makes it a natural bedside phone for a hotel or hospital room. On the wall, with its mounting kit, it protrudes only 100 mm, handset included.

The 8018 registers on an Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise server: you need OXO Connect version 2 or later, OmniPCX Office RCE 10.3 or later, or OmniPCX Enterprise 11.2.1 or later. Check your PBX version before ordering, and plan for the 3MG27006xx adapter if your switch does not provide PoE.
