Frequently asked questions about this product
How many monitors can I connect to this Dell Pro Tower QCT1250?
Two directly, on the DisplayPort 1.4a output (up to 5120 x 3200 at 60 Hz) and the HDMI 2.1 output (up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz). With MST-compatible monitors daisy-chained on the DisplayPort, the Intel graphics drive up to 4 displays, a comfortable setup for accounting, production monitoring or development.
Can the memory be increased beyond 16 GB?
Yes, up to 64 GB. The Pro Tower QCT1250 motherboard has 2 UDIMM DDR5 slots taking 8, 16 or 32 GB modules. With the Core Ultra 7 265, memory can run at up to 6,400 MT/s; to benefit from dual channel, install two identical modules rather than a single one.
Can a dedicated graphics card be added to this tower?
Yes, the chassis allows it: it offers one full-height PCIe x16 slot and two PCIe x1 slots. Dell offers this model with cards such as the AMD Radeon RX 6300, the Radeon RX 7400 or the NVIDIA RTX A400. Check the power draw of the card you choose before buying: the tower's internal power supply depends on the configuration supplied.
Can a second drive be added to store archives?
Yes. In addition to the 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD holding the system, the tower has a SATA 3.5-inch bay for a hard drive of up to 2 TB, ideal for archives, local backups or large client files. A slot for a slim optical drive is also provided in the chassis.
Are the keyboard and mouse included?
Yes. The Pro Tower QCT1250 comes with the Dell KB216 wired keyboard and the Dell MS116 wired optical mouse, both USB. All you need to add is a monitor: the tower connects via DisplayPort or HDMI, and joins the company network through its Gigabit Ethernet port.
What does the Core Ultra 7 265 NPU do day to day?
It runs artificial intelligence features without loading the processor. The Intel AI Boost NPU handles video-call effects, transcription and the AI assistants of Windows 11 Pro, while the 20 cores of the Core Ultra 7 265 stay available for your business software, heavy spreadsheets and multitasking.
