1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many copies does the Epson TM-U295 print at once?
Three: an original and two copies. That is the whole point of an impact printer at the till: the customer leaves with their copy and the retailer keeps theirs, in a single operation.
Can the Epson TM-U295 open a cash drawer?
Yes, a cash drawer kick-out is built in, with a D.K.D. function with two drivers. The drawer therefore opens when the receipt is printed, with no additional control box.
How does the TM-U295 slip printer connect?
Via RS-232, the serial link used by point-of-sale systems. It is a point-of-sale interface, not an office connection: check that your terminal or POS software has a free serial port.
How many characters per line does the Epson TM-U295 print?
35 or 42 characters depending on the density chosen — 13.5 or 16.2 characters per inch. The two values go together: the higher density fits more text per line, at the cost of narrower characters.
How does the printer detect the inserted cheque?
With two sensors: a top-of-form sensor and a bottom-of-form sensor. This is what allows it to print in the right place on a cheque or a pre-printed slip, however the operator has inserted it.
How much space should be allowed for the Epson TM-U295?
180 × 191 × 102 mm — a size that fits next to a till without cluttering the counter. The box contains the printer, a ribbon and the user instructions.
Is the Epson TM-U295 slip printer new and under warranty?
New, reference C31C163292, black colour, printing in black and white only. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The datasheet lists all the specifications.
