Product overview

Tower UPS to protect a workstation and its peripherals: line-interactive with voltage regulation and 1000 VA / 600 W.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and corrects voltage dips and spikes to deliver steady power — useful wherever the mains supply is unstable.
Power: 1000 VA for 600 W of usable output — a PC, a monitor and their accessories.
Outlets: 4 Schuko outlets (earthed household sockets) — plug your devices straight in, no adapter needed.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Horus Plus 1000 run on battery?
About 5 minutes 30 seconds at half load, i.e. 300 W. That is the time to save your work and shut down properly: on a UPS of this size, the runtime is not meant for carrying on working during the power cut.
Are all four outlets backed by the battery?
Yes, all four Schuko outlets are powered by the battery. The UPS also has two RJ11/RJ45 ports, in and out, which protect the modem, telephone or network line against surges.
What does the Horus Plus 1000's AVR correct, and over what range?
A regulator with two boost steps and one buck step restores the voltage without switching to battery, over an input range of 170 to 280 V. As long as the mains stays within it, the battery does not discharge.
What waveform does this UPS output?
A simulated sine wave, built up in steps, not a pure sine wave. This is standard for line-interactive units in this range: if your equipment explicitly requires a pure sine wave, you need to move up the range.
Why does 1000 VA give only 600 W?
The power factor is 0.6: 1000 × 0.6 = 600 W actually available. Add up the watts of the system unit, the monitor and the internet router plugged into the four outlets, and keep some headroom below this ceiling.
What does the Horus Plus 1000's screen show?
A touch LCD screen shows the load, the voltage and the remaining runtime in real time. It is an interface rarely found at this level of the range, and it saves you installing software for a simple visual check.
Can the UPS start without mains power, and how do you control it?
Yes to cold start: it switches on from the battery even when no mains power is present. For control, a USB port and the ViewPower software handle monitoring and automatic shutdown of the computer.
How much space does the Horus Plus 1000 take up, and what batteries does it house?
320 × 130 × 182 mm and 7.8 kg, in a compact tower format. It houses two internal GP07122L batteries, and stays below 40 dB in operation.
Is the nJoy Horus Plus 1000 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 3 years. Its input frequency is detected automatically at 50 or 60 Hz, and the output is held to ±1 Hz. The datasheet details the rest.
