3 years manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 3 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Argus 3000 run depending on the load?
18 minutes at 25% load, 7 min 30 s at 50% (900 W), 4 minutes at 75% and less than 2 minutes at full load. The drop is steep: on this UPS, aiming for half the rated power makes all the difference to the real runtime.
Does the Argus 3000 deliver a pure sine wave?
Yes, the output waveform in battery mode is a pure sine wave — rare on a line-interactive UPS, which usually delivers a sine wave built up in steps. The transfer time is 4 milliseconds typical.
Are all the Argus 3000's outlets battery-backed?
Yes, all eight C13 outlets are both battery-backed and surge-protected. Two RJ11/RJ45 ports, in and out, also protect the modem, telephone or network line.
Why do 3000 VA only give 1800 W?
The power factor is 0.6: 3000 × 0.6 = 1800 W actually available. The gap is significant, and it is the figure in watts that you should compare with your rack's consumption — especially as the runtime also depends on this load.
Is the Argus 3000 installed in a rack or as a tower?
Both: it is a 2U convertible chassis, 400 mm deep, 438 wide and 88 high, weighing 23.6 kg. This modest depth lets it fit into cabinets where UPS units of the same power do not.
What does the Argus 3000's AVR correct, and over what range?
A regulator with one boost step and one buck step raises low voltages and lowers high ones without switching to battery, over an input range of 165 to 276 V, at 50 or 60 Hz detected automatically.
Can it be used behind a generator?
Yes, generator compatibility is stated, and the UPS also offers cold start: it can power up on battery with no mains present. Two strengths on an installation where the power supply is frequently interrupted.
Can the UPS be shut down in an emergency, and monitored over the network?
An EPO emergency power-off function is provided, and network monitoring is done through a supported SNMP card, sold separately. Day to day, the USB HID and RS-232 ports are enough to trigger a clean shutdown of a server.
What batteries does the Argus 3000 use?
Four GP09122L batteries, internal only. The UPS protects the whole set against overload, deep discharge, overcharging and surges — the failure modes that kill a lead-acid battery before its time.
Is the Argus 3000 noisy in a rack?
It is rated at less than 50 dB. That is audible in a quiet room but discreet in an already ventilated rack: the unit belongs in a technical room rather than next to a workstation.
Is the nJoy Argus 3000 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for 3 years. An LCD screen shows the status, load and battery level; the datasheet details the protections and runtimes.
