The top of the Agilon VX range is recognised by its back: six IEC C13 outlets instead of four, a cooling fan and two 12 V / 9 Ah batteries. With 1500 VA for 900 W of real power, it protects a workstation and its monitors, or a NAS and the switch connecting it to the network.

Delta recommends letting the battery charge for 6 hours before first use. The supplied USB cable then connects the UPS to the PC, and the ViewPower software shuts the computer down cleanly during a long outage. All that remains is to plug the devices into the six C13 outlets — never a laser printer or a scanner, whose inrush current overloads the UPS.
Then it works on its own: its voltage regulator corrects the mains between 170 and 280 V without touching the batteries, and when power fails it switches over in 2 to 6 ms to last 6.8 minutes at half load, the best runtime in the range.
A fan, so a place on the floor
It is the only fan-cooled VX, and you hear it a little more than its smaller siblings: under 45 dBA, against under 40 for the VX 600 and the VX 1000. It is best placed at the foot of the desk or under the worktop, with its grilles clear. On the front, the touch LCD screen keeps the mains and battery status in view.
Same case as the VX 1000 — 130 × 320 × 182 mm —, but two more outlets and 9 Ah batteries instead of 7.

How much runtime does the Delta Agilon VX 1500 offer?
About 6.8 minutes at half load, i.e. 450 W connected, the best runtime of the VX range. That is enough time to save your work and shut the computer down cleanly, which the ViewPower software can do on its own over the USB port. With a lighter load the runtime gets longer.
Which devices can be connected to the Delta Agilon VX 1500?

Is the Delta Agilon VX 1500 noisy?
A little more than the other VX models: it is the only one in the range with a fan, and its noise level stays under 45 dB. On a desk, preferably place it on the floor or under the worktop, leaving air around its ventilation grilles.
Can the Delta Agilon VX 1500 shut my computer down by itself?
Yes. Connect its USB port to the PC with the supplied cable and install Delta's ViewPower software: during a prolonged outage, it triggers an automatic, clean shutdown of the computer before the battery runs out, and lets you monitor the UPS remotely.
