Delta Amplon N 2K · UPS202N2000B035

Power rebuilt before it reaches your servers

In double conversion, the UPS turns mains power into direct current, then rebuilds a clean alternating current: in normal operation, your equipment is powered by the UPS alone. In a tower just 190 mm wide, it delivers 1,800 W from four internal batteries and keeps running on mains power when the voltage drops as low as 80 V, at half load.

The screen tells you how much time is left

The display shows input and output voltage and frequency, load as a percentage, in kVA and in kW, battery capacity and voltage, temperature and, during an outage, the estimated remaining backup time. Two five-segment bars track load and battery. Holding a button for 3 seconds starts a 10-second battery test: the screen reads PAS when all is well, FAL otherwise. In setup mode you choose the output voltage and frequency, the bypass range, the buzzer and the overload alarm.

Four states at a glance

Each one lights its own icon on the screen, so you always know where the power feeding your equipment comes from.

  • StandbyPlugged into the mains but not yet started, the UPS charges its batteries.
  • OnlinePower flows through the UPS, which rebuilds it continuously and keeps the batteries charged.
  • BypassEquipment is connected directly to the mains; the batteries keep charging.
  • BatteryWhen power fails, the batteries take over without interruption, long enough to shut down cleanly or wait for the generator.

Two outputs and a heavy-duty input at the back

Six C13 outlets form the first output and one C19 outlet the second, reserved for the most power-hungry device. The UPS connects through a C20 inlet protected by a 20 A breaker, with the 16 A cord supplied. At the top, the MINI slot takes an optional SNMP, relay, Modbus or TVSS card, next to the USB port; two fans exhaust heat at the rear.

Before you switch it on: leave 15 cm clear around the UPS, plug it into an earthed outlet without an extension cord, and keep output cables under 10 m. If it comes from a cold room, wait one hour before turning it on. Rated C2 for electromagnetic compatibility, it may interfere with radio reception in a home.

Beyond 1,800 W to protect, the Amplon N 3K goes up to 2,700 W in the same 190 × 390 × 325 mm cabinet.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How much runtime does the Delta Amplon N 2K UPS offer?
About 13 minutes at half load, 7 minutes at 75% load and 4.5 minutes at full load (1800 W). That is enough time to finish a task and shut the servers down cleanly, or to hold until a generator starts. This model does not accept an external battery pack: for more runtime, you need a model with extendable batteries.
Why choose the online Amplon N 2K rather than a line-interactive UPS?
Because it rebuilds the power continuously: your equipment is powered by the UPS, never directly by the grid. No transfer time when power fails, a pure sine wave and an output voltage held within ± 2%, even when the mains varies from 80 to 280 V. It is the protection expected for a server or critical equipment.
Which equipment can be connected to the Delta Amplon N 2K?
Six devices on its IEC C13 outlets, the format of servers, NAS, switches and PCs, plus one power-hungry device on the 16 A C19 outlet. A 10 A output cord and a 16 A output cord are included. The UPS itself connects to the mains with its 16 A input cord, on a wall socket rated for that current.
Can the Amplon N 2K be monitored remotely?
Yes. Through its USB port and the UPSentry 2012 software, it triggers the automatic shutdown of servers and tracks the battery status. Its MINI slot accepts an optional SNMP card for network monitoring, a relay contact card or a Modbus card for building management.
Is the Delta Amplon N 2K compatible with a generator?
Yes. Its 80 to 280 V input range and its 50/60 Hz ± 10 Hz frequency tolerance let it accept power from a generator without constantly switching to battery. While the generator starts, its batteries keep the equipment running.
