This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does it actually run on battery during a power cut?
11.5 minutes at half load (400 W) and 5 minutes at full load (800 W). Enough to ride out micro-outages and, if the outage lasts, shut down the server cleanly — not enough to keep working for an hour. The less you load the UPS, the longer the runtime.
What can you connect to a 1000 VA / 800 W UPS?
The 800 W are the real limit (0.8 output power factor for 1000 VA): a small server, a NAS or network equipment, spread across the 4 outlets. Add up the consumption of your devices and keep some headroom: that is what gives you runtime.
Are the output outlets standard wall sockets?
No: the 4 outputs are C13 and the input is C14, the connectors used by computer and server power cords. Make sure you have one C13 cord per device to protect before installation day.
Can the battery be replaced without switching off the server?
Yes, the batteries are hot-swappable. The UPS contains 2 sealed lead-acid 12 V / 9 Ah batteries, with automatic battery testing and deep-discharge protection.
What happens if the UPS itself fails?
An internal bypass takes over and maintains service if the UPS fails or in the event of a downstream short circuit. Note that the power module is not hot-pluggable.
Does it protect against an unstable power grid, not just power cuts?
Yes, that is the point of online double conversion: the power is continuously regenerated, your devices are never connected directly to the mains and there is no transfer time. It accepts an input of 176 to 300 V (100 to 300 V with derating) and 40 to 70 Hz.
Is the output a pure sine wave?
Yes: the output is a sine wave, regulated to 220/230/240 V ±2%, with a maximum voltage distortion of 3% on a linear load and a frequency of 50/60 Hz.
Can you schedule an automatic shutdown of a server or virtual machines?
Yes, the automatic shutdown function is built in. It has an HID-compliant USB port and an RS-232 serial port, managed by the Eaton IPM and IPP software, with stated compatibility with VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix Xen and Red Hat. The USB and serial cables are included.
Can it be monitored from the company network?
Not as it stands: no Ethernet interface and no network card included. A communication card slot is provided, with the card available as an option. On site, the LCD screen shows the status and readings in real time.
Can it be installed in a 19-inch rack?
No: this is a tower model, supplied without a rack-mount kit. Allow for 356 × 228 × 144 mm and above all 22.1 kg: plan a stable spot on the floor, and two people to put it in place.
Is it noisy when placed next to a workstation?
Hardly: at less than 37 dB at 1 metre, it can stay close to a workstation. Its efficiency reaches 91%, and 97% in ECO mode. It operates from 0 to 40 °C, at 0 to 95% non-condensing humidity and up to 3,000 m altitude.
Which standards does the safety of this UPS rely on, and what is the warranty?
It is certified to IEC/EN 62040-1 and IEC/EN 62040-2, with CE marking, TÜV testing and EAC certification; its input power factor exceeds 0.99. The UPS is new and the invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year.
