This product is covered for 3 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the SRT5KXLI run on battery?
11 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 2,250 W, and 7 minutes at 70%, i.e. 3,150 W. A full recharge afterwards is very quick: 1 h 30, which narrows the window of vulnerability between two outages in close succession.
Is the network management card included with the SRT5KXLI?
Yes, a Web/SNMP management card is supplied in the box — which is rare, as it is almost always sold separately. The UPS also has an RJ-45 10/100 Base-T port, an RJ-45 serial port, a USB port, a contact closure and a free SmartSlot.
Are all the SRT5KXLI's outlets backed up by the battery?
Yes, all twelve: six C13 outlets, four heavy-duty C19 outlets for high-current equipment, and two IEC jumpers — all on battery backup. None is reserved for surge protection only.
How does the SRT5KXLI connect to the electrical installation?
Through a 3-wire hardwired connection — phase, neutral and earth: there is no plug to insert into a wall socket. The wiring must be carried out by an electrician, with a dedicated circuit provided at the distribution board.
What is the quality of the power this UPS delivers?
A sine wave with voltage distortion below 2% and a crest factor of 3:1. In double conversion, this signal is continuously regenerated: output quality does not depend on the quality of the incoming mains.
What input voltage does the SRT5KXLI accept?
160 to 275 V in normal operation, and an adjustable range of up to 100-275 V at half load. The frequency is auto-sensed between 40 and 70 Hz — enough to cope with a very poor-quality mains supply without drawing on the battery.
What exactly is in the SRT5KXLI box?
The UPS, the Web/SNMP management card, a temperature probe, removable feet, a USB cable, a Comms cable, the software CD, the documentation CD, the installation guide and the warranty card. The temperature probe lets you monitor the room temperature from the monitoring system.
How much space does the SRT5KXLI take up, and how much does it weigh?
Only 13 cm wide, for a height of 43.2 cm and a depth of 72 cm, and 54.4 kg (63.6 kg with packaging). It is a very narrow but long and heavy tower unit: check the available depth and plan for two people to put it in place.
Can the UPS be serviced without shutting down the equipment?
Yes, an automatic and manual internal bypass keeps the power on: the automatic bypass in the event of a fault, the manual one for scheduled maintenance. Conversely, an emergency power off switch lets you shut everything down immediately.
Which battery does the SRT5KXLI use, and how is it replaced?
A sealed, maintenance-free lead-acid battery with suspended electrolyte, at 192 V, with two pre-installed packs. The replacement reference is APCRBC140, and the internal battery is covered for two years.
Where should this UPS be installed, and is it noisy?
Less than 55 dBA: it is a fan-cooled unit, best kept in a technical room. It operates between 0 and 40 °C, up to 95% non-condensing humidity and 3,000 m altitude, and absorbs 480 joules of surge energy.
Is the APC Smart-UPS SRT SRT5KXLI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years. Its multifunction LCD console displays status and measurements and acts as the control panel, with audible and visual alarms graded by the severity of the fault.
