This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the SRV6KRI run on battery?
11 minutes at half load, i.e. 3,000 W, and 7 minutes at 70% load, i.e. 4,200 W. Go by the figure matching your actual load: it determines the window you have to shut down the rack cleanly.
Does the SRV6KRI connect to outlets or to a terminal block?
To a 3-wire terminal block (phase, neutral, earth), at both input and output: there are no outlets on the unit. It is fixed wiring, to be entrusted to an electrician, with a dedicated circuit to be prepared at the distribution board before commissioning.
What rack height and depth should be planned for?
4U high (17.3 cm), 43.8 cm wide and 61.5 cm deep, with the rack-mounting hardware supplied. The depth is the point to check: it rules out short racks and wall-mount cabinets.
Why does this UPS show 6000 W for 6000 VA?
Because its power factor is 1: all of the apparent power can be used in watts. An entry-level UPS with a 0.6 factor would offer only 3600 for the same advertised power — it is the figure in watts that counts.
How long does it take to recharge the SRV6KRI's batteries?
3 hours for a full recharge, with a charging power of 373 W on a 192 V battery. This charging power comes on top of your equipment's consumption: bear it in mind on a circuit sized as tightly as possible.
What input voltage range does the UPS tolerate?
176 to 300 V at full load, and a window widened to 110-300 V at half load: the more heavily loaded the UPS, the narrower the tolerance. The frequency is accepted from 40 to 70 Hz.
Can the UPS be serviced without shutting down the rack?
Yes, an automatic and manual internal bypass keeps the power on: the automatic bypass in the event of a fault, the manual one for deliberate maintenance. Conversely, an emergency power off (EPO) button cuts everything instantly.
What is the quality of the output power?
A sine wave with a load crest factor of 3:1, continuously regenerated by double conversion and synchronised with the mains at 50/60 Hz ± 3 Hz. The built-in surge protector is rated at 600 joules.
How can the SRV6KRI be monitored and the servers shut down automatically?
Through the USB port or the RS-232 serial port, and through a free SmartSlot intended for a network management card. The UPS also signals three distinct audible alarms: on battery, low battery and overload.
Where should the SRV6KRI be installed, and how much does it weigh?
61 kg, with a noise level of 55 dBA: it is a fan-cooled unit, to be placed in a rack or a technical room, never in an occupied office. At this weight, rack mounting takes two people, at the bottom of the cabinet.
Is the APC Easy UPS SRV6KRI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 1 year, covering repair or replacement. The datasheet lists all the electrical and environmental values.
