20 minutes at 50% load and 12 minutes at 75%. These times are indicative: they depend on the equipment, the configuration, the age of the batteries and the room temperature. The figure to go by is the one matching your actual load.
How far can the 9E6KI's runtime be extended?
A long way: 75 minutes at half load with one external battery cabinet, and 222 minutes — nearly four hours — with four cabinets. At 75% load, runtime goes from 12 minutes to 47, then to 140. Each cabinet weighs 105 kg, however: make sure you have the space and a floor that can take it.
Does the 9E6KI connect to outlets, or does it need an electrician?
To a terminal block, at both input and output: there are no outlets at all. The connection is fixed wiring, to be entrusted to an electrician, with a dedicated circuit to be provided at the distribution board. This is the step to plan well ahead of commissioning.
Can the UPS be replaced without shutting down the servers?
Yes: in addition to the internal bypass that maintains continuity in the event of a fault, the 9E has a maintenance bypass as standard. It lets you remove the UPS while the equipment stays powered — a rare feature in this class, and a decisive one for infrastructure that never stops.
What happens if the UPS is overloaded?
The tolerance is graded and documented: 5 minutes between 105 and 110% load, 1 minute between 110 and 130%, 10 seconds between 130 and 150%, and 100 milliseconds above 150%. The short-circuit current is rated at 82 A.
What input voltage does the 9E6KI accept without drawing on the battery?
176 to 276 V without derating, and down to 110-276 V with power derating. The two ranges are not equivalent: below 176 V, the UPS keeps running but no longer delivers its full power. The frequency is accepted from 45 to 66 Hz with auto-sensing.
What is the quality of the power delivered by the 9E6KI?
A sine wave with voltage distortion below 3%, continuously regenerated by double conversion. The output is held at 220, 230 or 240 V within ±2%, and the input power factor exceeds 0.99 — so the UPS puts very little disturbance back onto the upstream mains.
