3 years manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 3 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the SRT8KXLI accept single-phase or three-phase input?
Both: it connects via a terminal block, either 3-wire single-phase (phase, neutral, earth) or 5-wire three-phase (3 phases, neutral, earth). The accepted ranges differ: 100-275 V single-phase and 173-476 V three-phase, adjustable at half load.
Does this 8 kVA unit really deliver 8000 W?
Yes, its power factor is 1: the full 8000 VA is available in watts. This is the value to compare against the combined consumption of your racks — and the gap with a 0.8 UPS would amount here to 1600 W lost.
Are all the SRT8KXLI's outputs battery-backed?
Yes, all of them: six C13 outlets, four heavy-duty C19 outlets, three IEC jumpers and even the 3-wire terminal block output are on battery backup. No output is limited to surge protection alone.
Is the network management card supplied with the SRT8KXLI?
Yes, the Web/SNMP management card is in the box, along with a temperature probe, a USB cable, the software CD, the documentation CD, the installation guide and the warranty card. Remote monitoring is therefore up and running with no accessory to order.
How much does the SRT8KXLI weigh, and how much space does it take up?
111.8 kg for a unit 26.3 cm wide, 43.2 cm high and 71.5 cm deep. This weight calls for handling by several people, a floor that can support it and clear access to the room: this is the first point to sort out, even before the wiring.
How quickly do the batteries recharge after a power cut?
1 h 30 min for a full recharge — fast for this power rating, and it shortens the window during which a second power cut would find you without reserve. Runtime can also be extended with additional battery modules.
What is the quality of the power delivered by the SRT8KXLI?
A sine wave with harmonic distortion below 2% and a crest factor of 3:1. The output frequency is synchronised to the mains at 50/60 Hz ± 3 Hz, with the input auto-sensed between 40 and 70 Hz.
Can the UPS be serviced without cutting power to the racks?
Yes, thanks to the automatic and manual internal bypass: the automatic bypass takes over on a fault, while the manual one allows a deliberate transfer to direct mains power. Conversely, an emergency power off switch lets you cut everything in one move.
How much heat and noise does the SRT8KXLI produce?
1497 BTU per hour and 55 dBA. These two values restrict it to a ventilated technical room: the BTU go into the air-conditioning calculation, and 55 dBA is clearly audible in a workspace.
How much surge energy does the UPS absorb?
480 joules, on a unit rated IP20 — protected against solid objects, but not sealed against water: to be installed in a dry, clean room.
Is the APC Smart-UPS SRT SRT8KXLI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for 3 years. Its multifunction LCD console serves as both a status display and a control panel, with audible and visual alarms graded according to the severity of the fault.
