Delta Power Solutions Amplon RT 6K Rack/Tower Online UPS - 6000 W / 6000 VA - 6 C13 + 3 C19 Outlets (UPS602R2RT0B035)
A 6000 W online double-conversion UPS for a server fleet, a storage array or a network room: pure sine wave, power factor 1, up to 95.5% efficiency. Rack or tower, manual maintenance bypass, expandable runtime.
An online double-conversion UPS for a server room and network rack: 6000 W in pure sine wave, rack or tower and manual maintenance bypass. Power: 6000 VA / 6000 W, power factor 1, for several servers, storage and network equipment. Outlets: 6 C13 and 3 C19 outlets, including one programmable C19 to shed a secondary load. Runtime: 9.6 min at half load, expandable with an optional external battery module. Efficiency: up to 95.5% online, up to 99% in ECO mode. Monitoring: USB, RS-232, RS-485 and slot for an SNMP card. Connection: via terminal block, to be entrusted to an electrician. The choice for a server fleet that must not go down, instead of several small UPS units to monitor one by one.
An online double-conversion UPS designed for a server room or a network rack: it constantly regenerates a stable sine-wave voltage, fits a 19-inch rack or stands as a tower, and can be serviced without shutting down what it protects.

The 6 kVA on the label, in watts
Its output power factor is 1: the 6,000 VA deliver 6,000 W actually available. At a factor of 0.9, the same label would only provide 5,400. Output voltage is held within ± 1 %, with distortion below 2 % on a linear load, and the unit withstands an overload of 106 to 125 % for two minutes.
On the input side, it accepts 175 to 280 V at full load and goes down to 100 V when the load does not exceed half: an unstable mains supply does not send it to battery at every dip. With an input power factor of 0.99 and current distortion below 3 %, it is also gentle on an upstream generator.
Nine outlets, and one that knows when to stop
Rear panel of the UPS602R2RT0B035, from the Delta manual drawing
Six C13 and two C19 outlets power servers, storage arrays and switches, each group protected by its own circuit breaker. A third C19 is programmable: on battery, it cuts the secondary equipment plugged into it after an adjustable delay of 1 to 240 minutes, leaving all the remaining energy to critical machines. An output terminal block completes the set for hardwired equipment.
Time to shut down, or to go further
With its 16 internal 12 V / 7 Ah batteries, it runs 3 minutes at full load, 5.5 minutes at 75 % and 9.6 minutes at half load: enough to wait for a generator to start or to close the servers properly. For longer runtime, it takes the optional Delta BBU161B107035 external battery module. It also starts on battery without mains power, and recharges to 90 % in under three hours.
Maintenance without downtime
A manual bypass switch at the rear puts the equipment directly on mains power during servicing: the service carries on while the UPS is being worked on. In ECO mode, when the mains stays within ± 10 % of its voltage and ± 3 Hz of its frequency, it feeds the loads directly and reaches up to 99 % efficiency.
Supplied with its rail kit and brackets for the rack, it also stands upright on the four feet and their extenders included in the box.
Monitored like the rest of the room
Delta's UPSentry 2012 software connects over USB or RS-232 to monitor the UPS and shut down the servers. An RS-485 port, a REPO/ROO emergency power-off contact and four dry contacts tie it into the installation: the input contact can, for example, signal that the site is running on a generator. The MINI slot takes an optional SNMP network card, relay card or Modbus card.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How is the Delta Amplon RT 6K connected to the mains?
Through an input terminal block, not a plug: it is wired to a dedicated single-phase line and the connection must be entrusted to an electrician. Delta advises protecting this line with a 50 A D-curve circuit breaker. On the output side, the UPS offers 6 C13 outlets, 3 C19 outlets and a terminal block for hardwired equipment.
How much runtime does the Amplon RT 6K offer?
With its internal batteries, it runs about 3 minutes at full load, 5.5 minutes at 75% and 9.6 minutes at 50%: enough time to switch to a generator or shut the servers down cleanly. To go further, it connects to the Delta BBU161B107035 external battery module, sold as an option, which brings runtime to 8.5 minutes at full load with one module.
Can the Amplon RT 6K be installed in a 19-inch rack?
Yes. The UPS and its battery module together take up 4U, i.e. 176 mm in height, for a depth of 665 mm and 54 kg; the rail kit and mounting brackets are included. It also stands as a tower thanks to the four feet and their extenders supplied in the box.
Can the UPS be serviced without shutting down the servers?
Yes, thanks to the manual bypass switch: it puts the equipment directly on mains power during maintenance, without interruption. Replacing the internal batteries is entrusted to a qualified technician, with batteries of the same number and type (16 × 12 V / 7 Ah); during the work, the equipment is no longer backed up if the mains fails.
How is the Delta Amplon RT 6K monitored?
Over USB or RS-232 with Delta's UPSentry 2012 software, which tracks the UPS status and can shut the servers down. It also has an RS-485 port, a REPO/ROO contact for remote emergency power-off, an input dry contact and three output dry contacts. Its MINI slot takes an optional Mini SNMP IPv6 card for network monitoring, a relay card or a Modbus card.
