An online double-conversion UPS for a server or network rack, in 2U rack or tower format: pure sine wave, hot-swappable batteries and rail kit included. Power: 1000 VA / 900 W (power factor 0.9). Runtime: 6.5 min at 75% load, extendable with an optional Delta external battery pack. Outlets: 6 C13 outlets in two groups; secondary loads can be cut on battery to extend the runtime of essential equipment. Management: swivelling LCD screen, USB and RS-232, remote emergency power off and a SMART slot for an SNMP card. Efficiency: 90% in online mode, 96% in ECO mode. The most compact Amplon RT (12 kg, 335 mm deep), ideal for example for a switch, a rack NAS or a small server.
Two units high and 335 mm deep: the Amplon RT 1K fits a shallow four-post network rack, or stands upright next to the switch it protects. Its front carries only the screen, the indicators and three buttons; everything else plugs in at the back.
Everything is wired at the back
This is the rear panel as Delta draws it for this reference. Mains power comes in through a C14 inlet protected by an 8 A breaker; on the output side, six C13 outlets split into two groups share 4.5 A in total. On the right, a 24 V connector awaits the optional battery pack, and a SMART slot takes a network card.

Drop the extras, keep what matters
The two outlet groups are not just for tidying cables. During an outage, the UPS can shed non-critical loads to save its battery for the devices that count. So the router and the NAS go on one group, the rack monitor or a test workstation on the other: when power fails, the minutes go to the network first.
More runtime without switching anything off
The internal batteries are replaced hot, with the equipment still powered. To last longer, Delta offers a 24 V external battery pack, sold as an option: same 2U front, same 335 mm depth, 15 kg, and it too connects without shutting the rack down.
On top the UPS, below the external battery pack, sold as an option.
Before installing it. Air enters through the front and leaves at the back: keep space behind a solid rack door. In a rack, lift it with two people, or remove the internal batteries first. The brackets and rails are in the box; to stand it upright, the tower feet are a Delta option.

Can the Amplon RT 1K be installed in a 19-inch rack?
Yes. It takes 2U in a 19-inch rack, with its mounting brackets and rail kit included in the box; allow 335 mm of depth. It can also stand upright in tower format with the optional Delta tower stand kit; its LCD screen swivels to stay readable in both positions.
How much runtime does the Delta Amplon RT 1K offer?
About 6.5 min at 75% load with its internal batteries. To last longer, it connects to an optional Delta 24 V external battery pack (same 2U format), which can be added or removed without powering down the equipment. Cutting secondary loads on battery also extends the runtime of essential devices.
Can the batteries of the Amplon RT 1K be replaced without shutting everything down?
Yes, its internal batteries are hot-swappable: the equipment stays powered during the intervention. They are sealed, maintenance-free 12 V / 9 Ah lead-acid batteries; replacement must be done or supervised by a qualified technician, using the same number and type of batteries.
How can the Delta Amplon RT 1K be monitored?
Through its USB or RS-232 port with the UPSentry 2012 software: automatic server shutdown, event log, battery self-test and remaining-time estimate. Its SMART slot accepts an optional SNMP card for network monitoring, a relay card or a Modbus card, and a REPO contact allows remote emergency power off.
Does the Amplon RT 1K work in a hot technical room?
Yes, up to 50 °C: between 40 and 50 °C, its available power is reduced to 80%, i.e. 720 W. Its fan speed adapts to the load to limit noise, 40 dBA in operation. It also accepts an input of 120 to 280 V and power from a generator, two assets on an unstable grid.
The network management card is already included: the UPS is monitored and controlled remotely with nothing more to buy. 1000 W genuinely available, 28 minutes of runtime at half load (500 W) and under 35 dB.

Quiet at under 37 dB, it holds 11.5 minutes at half load (400 W): enough to save and shut down a NAS or a small server without losing anything. Its batteries are replaced without cutting the power.
