1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Elgato Facecam have autofocus?
No: it has fixed focus, set for the distance at which you sit in front of a screen. This is a deliberate choice — you can talk with your hands or move in your seat without the camera hunting for focus as an autofocus would.
Do you need to reconfigure the Facecam when you switch computers?
No. The built-in flash memory stores your camera settings in the camera itself: plug it into another computer, laptop or desktop, Windows or Mac, and it instantly recalls your configuration.
Why is the Facecam described as delivering uncompressed video?
Because it transmits an uncompressed YUV stream: nothing to re-encode on the computer side, so latency is kept to a minimum and there are no artefacts from compression. This is what sets it apart from a webcam that compresses internally before sending the image.
What does the Facecam's 24 mm f/2.4 lens deliver?
A glass lens with a 24 mm equivalent focal length — a wide angle — and an aperture of f/2.4, which lets in more light than ordinary webcam optics. The diagonal field of view reaches 82°: enough to leave some of the background around you.
Which image settings can you adjust on the Elgato Facecam?
Through the Camera Hub software: field of view, brightness, saturation, contrast, shutter speed, exposure and colour temperature. An automatic mode is available if you would rather not adjust anything and concentrate on your audience.
Is the Elgato Facecam webcam new and under warranty?
New, part number 10WAA9901, in original Elgato packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. It records in 1080p at 60 frames per second and works on both Windows and macOS.
