Is 128 GB enough on an iPhone 16?
For apps, messaging and a reasonably sized photo library, yes. The thing to plan for is video, by far what fills storage fastest: if you film regularly, a larger capacity will save you from having to sort through everything every month.
Does the iPhone 16 have a dedicated camera button?
Yes: Camera Control is a physical button that opens the camera and gives access to its settings without going through the touchscreen. On a phone you often take out to shoot photos, it changes how the phone feels in hand.
Do I need to buy a charger with the iPhone 16?
Yes, if you don't already have one: the 20 W USB-C power adapter is sold separately. MagSafe wireless charging is also supported, at up to 25 W, provided you have a compatible charging pad.

Up to 22 hours of video playback — the figure measured is indeed continuous video playback, not a day of mixed use. The battery is lithium-ion and charges over USB-C as well as wirelessly with MagSafe.

It supports the Thread protocol, used by recent smart home devices, alongside Wi-Fi 7, 5G sub-6 GHz and eSIM. Bluetooth is version 5.3.
How many cameras does the iPhone 16 have?
Two on the back: a 48 MP Fusion wide-angle camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide. On the front, a 12 MP TrueDepth camera handles selfies, video calls and Face ID recognition.
Does the iPhone 16's USB-C port allow fast transfers?
It runs at USB 2 speed: that is enough for charging and routine syncing, but copying tens of gigabytes of video takes patience. The connector remains universal, so you can reuse a laptop or tablet charger.
How does the iPhone 16's screen perform outdoors?
Its 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display reaches 2,000 nits in HDR, with True Tone — which adapts the colour temperature to the ambient light — and the Dynamic Island. 120 Hz ProMotion remains exclusive to the Pro models.
