Produit conforme a la description. Fonctionne tres bien durant 20 minutes voir un peu plus, avec un pc tour + ecran, haut parleurs, telephone sans fil et casque sans fil, imprimante. Livraison tres rapide et surtout un suivi du service client exceptionnel.

Onduleur parfait pour mon installation. J'ai eu plusieurs coupures de courant et jamais eu aucun problème. Il faut juste avoir en tête que la batterie ne tient que 15 minutes et que l'alimentation maximum supportée est de 400W.

Can the Ellipse ECO EL650FR be connected to a PC to shut it down automatically?
No: this version has neither a communication port nor software, unlike the USB models in the same range. It protects your equipment and takes over when the power fails, but it cannot trigger a shutdown of the computer. If automatic shutdown matters to you, choose the USB version.
How long does the EL650FR run on battery?
9 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 200 W, and 6 minutes at 70%, i.e. 280 W. These are the two benchmarks to compare with your actual setup: it is the load plugged in, not the 650 VA on the label, that determines the runtime.
Are all four outlets battery-backed?
No: three French outlets run on battery; the fourth is only protected against surges. Keep the first three for the desktop tower, the monitor and the internet box, and save the fourth for a device that can switch off.
Does the UPS protect the telephone line and the network?
Yes, its built-in surge protection, compliant with the IEC 61643-1 standard, also covers data lines: telephone, fax, modem, internet and Ethernet. A surge coming in through the line destroys an internet box just as surely as a spike on the mains.
How do you install a unit as flat as the Ellipse ECO?
It is only 81 mm thick, measures 235 × 263 mm and weighs 3.6 kg: it stands vertically under a desk, lies horizontally under a monitor, fits in a 19-inch rack (2U) or mounts on the wall — the two corresponding kits being sold as options.
Does this UPS regulate the mains voltage?
No, it has no AVR regulator: it is an off-line model. It passes mains power through as long as it stays within the 184-264 V range — adjustable from 161 to 284 V — and switches to battery outside it. On a grid that fluctuates constantly, a line-interactive UPS spares the battery better.
What happens in the event of an overload or short circuit?
A resettable circuit breaker cuts the power and is brought back into service at the press of a button, with no fuse to replace. Unplug the extra device before resetting: the 400 W of usable power correspond to the 0.61 power factor of the 650 VA on the label.
Can the battery be replaced, and do you get warned in time?
Yes, the sealed lead-acid battery is replaceable, and an automatic periodic self-test detects the problem before it happens. LED indicators and an audible alarm signal when it is time to replace it.
Can the UPS start without mains power, and is it noisy?
Yes to cold start: it switches on from the battery even with no power present. As for noise, it stays below 25 dBA — the level of a quiet room, so you can put it on a desk without noticing it.
What is in the box of the EL650FR?
The UPS, its power cord, the user manual in 20 languages and the safety instructions. As the output outlets are in the French format, you plug your devices' cords straight in.
