Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the JBL Flip 7 last 14 or 16 hours?
14 hours of normal listening, and 2 more hours with Playtime Boost, making 16 in total. A full recharge takes 2 h 30 min via the USB-C port.
What can the JBL Flip 7 withstand outdoors?
It is IP68-rated: dustproof and tested for immersion in up to 1.5 m of fresh water for a maximum of 30 minutes. It can also withstand a one-metre drop onto concrete without ceasing to work.
How are the Flip 7's 35 W split?
25 W RMS for a 45 x 80 mm woofer and 10 W for a 16 mm tweeter with a redesigned dome, over a range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz. AI Sound Boost limits distortion as the volume goes up.
How do you attach the Flip 7 to a bag or a bike?
With the PushLock system and its interchangeable accessories, which lock in place with a single press. A loop and a carabiner are supplied in the box: the speaker can be hung up straight out of the box, with no accessory to buy.
What does the JBL Flip 7's USB-C port allow?
Lossless listening from a computer or a compatible player: the signal arrives digitally rather than compressed by Bluetooth. One condition — you need a supported lossless audio source and service.
Can you connect several JBL speakers to the Flip 7?
Yes: two Flip 7 speakers pair in stereo for a wider soundstage, and several Auracast-compatible JBL speakers link wirelessly to the same playlist. The connection uses Bluetooth 5.4.
Can you leave the Flip 7 in full sun in summer?
It is better placed in the shade: its maximum operating temperature is 45 °C. On a sun-exposed terrace in the middle of the afternoon, that limit is quickly reached, and a shady spot is enough to stay within the intended conditions.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The JBL Portable app then gives access to firmware updates, support and customisable audio settings.
