Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • On-screen image : the content visible on the screen is a composite: it represents neither the real picture quality nor any content supplied with the product.
  • Stand and mount : the shape of the stand changes between versions; wall mounts, arms and ceiling fixings are not included unless stated.
  • Connectors and sound : the number of HDMI, DisplayPort and USB ports, and the presence of speakers, a tuner or a network port, are read in the specifications.
  • Panel : bezels, curved format, touch, matte or glossy finish and refresh rate cannot be judged from a photo.
  • Accessories : remote control, cables, 3D glasses and projection screen are supplied only if the specifications say so.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Asus VA279HG's 120 Hz work on the VGA input?
No: over HDMI, the vertical range runs from 48 to 120 Hz; over VGA, it stops at 75 Hz. To take advantage of 120 Hz and adaptive sync, you therefore need to connect the computer to the HDMI port.
How good are the VA279HG's panel and colours?
A 27-inch frameless IPS panel, covering 99% of the sRGB colour space, at 300 cd/m² with a 1500:1 contrast ratio — above the usual 1000:1 for this type of panel — and 178° viewing angles.
How do you get sound with the Asus VA279HG monitor?
Through the headphone jack on the monitor: the audio sent over HDMI comes out there, within easy reach, without reaching round the tower to swap earphones. It is the audio output provided on this model.
Is the VA279HG stand height-adjustable?
No: only the tilt is adjustable, from -5° to +23°. The monitor remains compatible with wall or arm mounting, and weighs only 3.74 kg with its stand — 3.38 kg without.
Does this 27-inch monitor strain the eyes?
It is a model from Asus's Eye Care range: flicker-free technology and a blue light filter, both TÜV Rheinland certified. Its power consumption stays below 15 W, remarkable for a 27-inch monitor.
Is the Asus VA279HG monitor new and under warranty?
Yes: a new product, in its original packaging, with a 1-year warranty. Your invoice serves as the warranty document; keep it with the box for any warranty claim.
