What is the CAT Coupler for Rally Mic Pod for?
To extend the connection between a mic pod and its video bar using standard off-the-shelf CAT cable, at whatever length you need, instead of being limited to the original captive cable.
How far can the cable be extended?
20 metres, using CAT6 SFT/SSTP cable — in other words, shielded. The cable type matters as much as the length: unshielded CAT6 is not what Logitech specifies.
How many couplers are needed per connection?
Two, and they are supplied together, with a connection cable: one coupler at each end of the CAT cable you add. The interface is reversible.
How many extensions per Rally system?
Two cables at most on a Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, and only one on a Rally or Rally Plus system. That is the limit to check before ordering several couplers.
Does the coupler fit through a cable conduit?
Yes: it measures 15 × 22 × 58 mm and fits through standard 19 mm conduits. This means it can be run through trunking rather than left exposed under the table.
