1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many hours does the Barracuda X Chroma last with the lighting on?
30 hours with the lighting on, versus 70 hours with the lighting off over the 2.4 GHz link. That is more than double: if battery life comes first, RGB is the first setting to turn off. A full charge takes about 4 hours.
Is a fifteen-minute charge enough for an evening?
Yes: 15 minutes gives back about 6 hours of gaming. It is the quick top-up when the headset has run flat, while you wait for the full four-hour charge.
What latency does this headset's wireless link offer?
20 ms with the included HyperSpeed USB-C dongle, versus 35 ms on the previous-generation Barracuda X. Razer positions this 2.4 GHz link as the gaming mode, with Bluetooth remaining the mode for on the go.
Can you switch from PC to phone without unplugging anything?
Yes, that is SmartSwitch Dual Wireless: the USB-C dongle stays plugged into the PC or console while the headset switches to Bluetooth for the phone. Two links maintained, one button to switch.
How many lighting zones does the Barracuda X Chroma have?
Six zones spread across the ear cups, with 16.8 million colours and a range of effects. The lighting syncs with more than 300 games and 500 Razer Chroma-compatible devices.
What software do you need to customise this headset?
Razer Synapse 4 on PC — the manufacturer states that Synapse 3 does not support it. On a phone, the Razer Audio app manages the battery, equaliser, lighting and Do Not Disturb mode.
Is the Barracuda X Chroma's mic removable?
Yes, it is a detachable HyperClear cardioid mic, unidirectional: aimed at your mouth, it rejects sound coming from the sides. With it removed, you can carry the headset around like ordinary headphones.
Are the ear cups suited to extended wear?
They are oval, 60 × 40 mm inside, made of breathable fabric lined with memory foam, and swivelling. Razer claims evenly distributed weight, for 285 g on the scale.
Does this headset actively cancel ambient noise?
No, the spec sheet says so explicitly: no active noise cancellation. The attenuation comes from the seal of the memory foam cushions. The 40 mm TriForce drivers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with an impedance of 32 ohms.
Can you go further than the built-in 7.1 surround sound?
Yes: the headset has built-in 7.1 surround sound, and Razer lets you upgrade to THX Spatial Audio, a separate application that adds game-optimised profiles and more customisable positioning.
Is the Razer Barracuda X Chroma headset new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty provided by the invoice. Keep it: it is all you need for any workshop repair.
