Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the cable on this SC 75 detach from the headset?
Yes, it is detachable: the USB cable with in-line controls comes off, leaving the headset on its 3.5 mm jack. You can switch from PC to mobile without changing headsets, and a damaged cable can be replaced on its own.
Can you answer calls and mute the mic without going through the software?
Yes, the USB cable carries a control unit: answer, hang up, adjust the volume, mute the microphone. One press also redials the last number called.
Does the mic boom fold away when not in use?
Yes, it is foldable and can be positioned close to your mouth. The microphone is noise-cancelling and works in wideband, from 150 to 6,800 Hz, so that the chatter on the floor does not come through on the call.
Does this headset reproduce anything other than voice?
Yes, the speakers cover 60 to 16,000 Hz in wideband, and sound enhancement profiles adjust the sound between calls and multimedia content. The frequency response goes well beyond what telephone use alone requires.
What is in the box of the Impact SC 75 USB MS?

Does this SC 75 actively cancel open-plan office noise?
No, it has no active noise cancellation: the attenuation comes from the foam ear cushions resting on your ears. It is the microphone that is noise-cancelling, and it works for the person you are talking to.
Is your hearing protected over full days of calls?
Yes, by EPOS ActiveGard, which clips acoustic shocks, and by an adjustable noise limiter compliant with European Directive 2003/10/EC on noise at work.
How long is the cable between the headset and the computer?
2.5 m, which leaves room to push your chair back or stand up during a call, even when the tower is on the floor.
How much does this stereo headset weigh on your head?
130 g for the binaural version, which is this one. The ear cushions are made of acoustic foam and the headband stays light, with the weight spread over both ears rather than on just one.
Can you configure or update this headset from the PC?
Yes, via EPOS Connect, which manages the firmware and audio preferences on Windows, on Mac and in VDI environments. EPOS Manager takes over to manage an entire fleet remotely.
Is this EPOS Impact SC 75 USB MS new and under warranty?
