Which platforms is this Impact 100 UC certified for?
Zoom — the Workplace and Contact Center versions —, Google Meet and Webex by Cisco. It is the UC variant of the series, aimed at environments that are not centred on Teams.
Two earpieces for 76 g: how is that possible?
With a thin soft-silicone headband instead of a rigid one, and on-ear faux leather ear cushions that rest on the ear. EPOS presents it as the lightest stereo headset in its class.
Can the microphone boom be placed on whichever side you prefer?
Yes, it is flexible and rotates through 270°: you position it on the left or the right depending on your dominant ear, as close to your mouth as possible for the best pickup.
Does the microphone filter out the noise of a shared office?
Yes: it is unidirectional and noise-cancelling algorithms remove anything that does not come from your mouth. The background chatter stays on your side of the line.
Where are calls controlled on this wired headset?
On the cable controls, whose buttons have distinctive, backlit shapes. The mute button, on top, can be found by touch: you mute the microphone without looking.
Does this headset connect to a computer without USB-C?
Yes, a USB-C to USB-A adapter is included. The headset therefore moves from a recent laptop to an older desktop with no further fiddling, and with no driver to install.
