Frequently asked questions about this product

Does this Evolve2 40 SE model connect via USB-C or USB-A?
Both: this is the USB-C/A version, designed for either port. It therefore moves from a recent laptop to an older desktop, on PC or Mac, with no installation.
How does the Evolve2 40 SE shut out open-plan office noise?
Through passive noise cancellation: insulating foam ear cushions mould to the ear and block out the surrounding chatter, with no electronic processing. This is the central selling point of the Evolve2 range, designed for concentration in shared workspaces.
What does a microphone “certified for open office requirements” mean?
It means the headset has passed Microsoft Open Office certification, the most demanding test for picking up the voice amid noise. Three digital MEMS microphones built into the boom take care of this: the person you are talking to hears only you.
How much does the stereo version of the Evolve2 40 SE weigh?
188 g with the cable, 168.5 g without it — the difference is the USB cord, not the headset. The mono version comes down to 113 g with the cable. The headband is padded with very soft foam, and the mic boom is made of aluminium.
Can the busylight be seen when you have your back turned?
Yes, it is visible from every angle and lights up automatically during calls or meetings; you can also switch it on yourself at the press of a button to show that you are busy working.
What does this headset's Microsoft Teams certification bring?
The headset automatically becomes the default audio device and has a dedicated Teams button. Its light flashes purple for a meeting to join, a missed call or a voicemail, and green when a call comes in.
Can you listen to music with the Evolve2 40 SE?
Yes. Its 40 mm speakers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz in music mode, compared with 100 Hz to 14 kHz in voice mode: the frequency range widens as soon as the headset is no longer used for calls.
Which platforms is this stereo version compatible with?
It is Microsoft Teams certified, and Jabra lists it as compatible with Alcatel-Lucent, Avaya, Cisco, Unify, Mitel, Citrix, Zoom and Amazon Chime. It also holds Microsoft Open Office certification.
