Frequently asked questions about this product

Is this Engage SE Duo sold with a base?
No: this is the headset only, intended to re-equip an Engage SE base that is already installed. If you are starting from scratch, you need the complete version, with its base or its USB adapter.
When should you buy the headset alone rather than the full set?
When the base still works: it is plugged in, configured and paired. On a call centre floor, the headset is what wears out first — headband, ear cushions, battery — and replacing it alone costs less than a complete set.
What wireless range around the base?
Up to 150 m over a DECT link — a range that lets you cross an office floor or go upstairs without leaving the call. In practice, partition walls reduce this distance.
How many hours of calls per charge on this headset?
Up to 13 hours of talk time, a figure given with the busylight switched off. A full recharge takes 90 minutes, with 40% after 30 minutes.
How does the dual microphone filter out noise?
The two capsules compare what they receive: what comes from the mouth is kept, the rest is discarded. The microphone covers 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz, well beyond the telephone band.
Does this headset-only unit have the busylight?
Yes, the Busylight is built into the headset: it lights up during the call to show colleagues that you are on the line. It also indicates incoming calls and battery status.
Can the battery of this replacement headset be changed?
Yes, it is user-replaceable. On a replacement headset, this is doubly useful: you extend the life of the equipment even further without going back through after-sales service.
83 g for two wireless ear cups: is that comfortable?
That is the stated weight, battery included, with an on-ear headband. The two ear cups shut out the background chatter of the floor, which is the point of the duo version compared with the mono format.
Is the user's hearing protected?
Yes, by PeakStop and Jabra SafeTone 2.0, with compliance with the European directive on noise at work and the G616 standard.
Is this Jabra Engage SE Duo new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original Jabra packaging. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for part number 14401-46. Remember that this is the headset only, to be paired with an Engage SE base.
