Frequently asked questions about this product

How does this Engage 55 SE stereo connect to a laptop?
Through the USB-C Jabra Link 400 DECT adapter, included and recognised without installation. It opens a radio link dedicated to voice, independent of the machine's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
How far can you move from your workstation?
Up to 150 m around the adapter. Partitions reduce this range in practice, but it still lets you leave your desk and go to a meeting room or the printer without interrupting the call.
Why the stereo version rather than the mono?
To shut out the hubbub: both ears are covered, so your attention stays on the call. The trade-off is that you hear your colleagues less well. The headset weighs 83 g, against 57 g for the mono.
Do conversations remain confidential?
The DECT link offers security level C, the highest in the standard. It is therefore suitable for departments that handle customer files or regulated information.
What are the advertised 13 hours of talk time really worth?
They are measured with the busylight switched off: when lit, the Busylight uses its share of power. A full charge takes 90 minutes, and 30 minutes restore 40% of the battery.
What happens when the battery weakens over time?
It can be replaced by the user: the lithium-ion battery is designed to be swapped. Across a fleet of headsets, this avoids buying new equipment after two or three years of daily use.
Which meeting platforms does it work with?
It is certified for Zoom, Google Meet and Amazon Chime, and works with the major unified communications platforms. The MS variant in the range is the one certified for Microsoft Teams.
Does the dual microphone hold up in a call centre?
Yes: the two capsules compare what they pick up to isolate your voice from the noise of the floor. It is the person on the other end who benefits — they hear your speech, not the surroundings.
Is users' hearing protected?
Yes: PeakStop clips sound peaks and SafeTone 2.0 manages exposure over the day, in compliance with the European directive on noise at work and the G616 standard.
Is this Jabra Engage 55 SE Stereo USB-C new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original Jabra packaging, USB-C adapter and storage pouch included. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for reference 9659-430-111.
