What does the “UC” in Evolve 30 II Stereo UC mean?
It is the multi-platform variant, optimised for unified communications in general: Jabra lists it as compatible with Zoom, Avaya, Unify and Alcatel-Lucent, as opposed to a version dedicated to a single tool.
Can this headset also be connected to a phone or tablet?
Yes, through the 3.5 mm jack that complements the USB-C/A connection. The same headset moves from computer to mobile with no dongle or pairing, and nothing to install.
What can you do from the in-line control unit?
Adjust the volume, mute the microphone and manage calls, without going back to the meeting software window. It also carries the busylight that your colleagues can see.
Does the microphone pick up conversations around me?
It is unidirectional and noise-cancelling: mounted on a boom in front of your mouth, it picks up what comes from the front and removes the open-plan hubbub for the person you are talking to.
How long is the Evolve 30 II cable?
2.15 m, control unit included: enough to connect a tower on the floor while keeping the control unit within reach on the desk.
At 93 g, is it comfortable over a full day of calls?
The headset is on-ear, in faux leather, and is rated at 93 g — one of the lightest stereo models in this category. A travel pouch is supplied for carrying it.
How does this headset protect your hearing?
With PeakStop against unexpected sound peaks and Jabra SafeTone, which manages average sound exposure. Its speakers are 28 mm, for stereo listening.
