Frequently asked questions about this product

What does Microsoft Teams certification bring to this Evolve 20 SE?
The headset is recognised and validated by Teams: it becomes the meeting's audio device with no setup, and its lights signal Teams notifications as well as incoming calls.
Does the ear cushion reduce office noise?
Yes, through its design alone: the faux leather ear cushion resting on the ear provides passive noise reduction. There is no active noise cancellation on this model; the attenuation is purely mechanical.
Does this headset need configuring before the first meeting?
No: it works as soon as it is plugged in, on PC and Mac alike, with the USB-C or USB-A adapter supplied. Nothing to install, which simplifies rollout across several workstations.
How do you take a call without leaving your screen?
With the in-line control unit on the cable: answering, ending a call, microphone mute and volume are all a single press away. The control unit stays within reach, clipped to your clothing if needed.
What does the microphone on this Evolve 20 SE pick up?
It is a unidirectional electret condenser microphone on a boom: it picks up along the axis of your mouth and rejects background noise, so the person on the other end hears only you.
Does the 104 g weight include the control unit?
Yes: it is the weight of the whole headset, cable and controller assembly. Only the mono headset rests on your head, with the control unit hanging along a 2.15 m cable.
Does this headset properly reproduce anything other than voice?
The 28 mm speaker covers 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz in music mode, against 150 Hz to 7,000 Hz in voice mode: the sound switches according to what you are listening to.
Can these headsets be managed across a fleet of workstations?
Yes: Jabra Direct on the workstation and Jabra Xpress for fleet-wide deployment manage updates and settings from a central point.
Is hearing protected on this Teams-certified model?
Yes, by PeakStop and by compliance with European regulations on noise at work and the G616 standard: sound peaks are clipped before they reach the ear.
Is this Jabra Evolve 20 SE Mono MS new and under warranty?
