1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the JBL Grip last 12 or 14 hours on a charge?
12 hours of normal listening, and 2 hours more — 14 in total — when you activate Playtime Boost. The 10.01 Wh lithium-ion battery fully recharges in 3 hours.
What is the ambient light on the JBL Grip for?
It lights up the speaker's rear panel with themes and colours that you cycle through with a button on the side. The JBL Portable app also lets you adjust its brightness and keep your favourite setting from one listening session to the next.
What are 16 W worth on a speaker that fits in your hand?
A single 43 x 80 mm full-range driver covering 70 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB), with a signal-to-noise ratio above 80 dB. AI Sound Boost processing analyses the music live to get the most out of the speaker without letting distortion creep in.
What can the JBL Grip withstand in everyday use?
It is IP68 — dustproof and waterproof — and drop-resistant: the manufacturer rates it to keep playing after a one-metre drop onto concrete. Sand, rain and the poolside are therefore not a problem.
Can you fine-tune the sound of the JBL Grip?
Yes, the JBL Portable app offers a 7-band equaliser — far more precise than the usual presets — in addition to colour and light intensity settings. It is also used for internal software updates and support.
Can you pair two JBL Grip speakers for a wider sound?
Yes: two Grip speakers pair in stereo via Auracast, each taking one channel, and several compatible JBL speakers can play the same playlist. The connection is Bluetooth 5.4, with the A2DP 1.4 and AVRCP 1.6 profiles.
How much room does the JBL Grip take up in a bag?
6.4 x 15.3 x 6.5 cm and 385 g: an elongated shape that you hold in one hand and that slips into a backpack side pocket or a bike bottle cage. Recycled fabric grille, recycled plastic housing and FSC-certified paper packaging.
Can you leave the JBL Grip in the sun in summer?
It is better to keep it in the shade: its maximum operating temperature is 45 °C. On a beach or an exposed terrace in the middle of the afternoon, this limit is quickly exceeded, and a towel is enough to protect it.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The JBL Portable app, available on iOS and Android, then handles updates to the speaker's internal software.
