Frequently asked questions about this product
What does hybrid noise cancellation mean on the HiTune Max5c?
That the headphones pick up noise on both sides of the ear cup — outside and inside, close to the ear — to produce the signal that cancels it. It is also adaptive: it adjusts automatically to the noise level around you, from the office to the metro.
What does the LDAC codec bring to these Ugreen headphones?
A higher wireless bitrate than the standard codec: this is what allows the Max5c to be Hi-Res Audio certified, a certification aimed at reproduction closer to the original file. Your phone must also support LDAC, though.
What battery life does the Ugreen HiTune Max5c offer?
Up to 75 hours of listening, backed by fast charging so you can get going again without waiting for a full charge. For noise-cancelling headphones, that easily covers a week of daily commuting.
Does the Max5c surround the ear or sit on it?
It surrounds it: these are over-ear headphones, with protein leather cushions that enclose the outer ear. The pressure is spread around the edge, which explains the promise of extended wear without discomfort.
Can you connect them to several devices?
Yes, the headphones support Bluetooth connection to multiple devices: your office computer and your phone stay reachable without re-pairing each time. The built-in microphone also handles hands-free calls.
Are these headphones also suitable for the office?
That is one of the two uses highlighted, along with commuting: adaptive cancellation lowers the noise of a busy office floor, and the built-in microphone lets you take one call after another without changing equipment. The 75-hour battery life means no recharging during the week.
Are the Ugreen HiTune Max5c headphones new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty provided by the invoice. Keep it: it is all you need for any workshop repair.
More than 100 hours of wireless battery life, and recharging that does without a cable: just set it on a base. Foldable for long journeys, with an M button to customise from the app.
•More than 100 h of wireless battery life
•Wireless recharging on a base, or via the included USB-C cable
Plugged in over USB-C, it carries the sound as well as recharging. Up to 75 hours of listening without noise cancellation, 45 hours with, and the app offers 8 equalisers and 3 isolation modes.
Sixteen hours of playback per charge, and a folding design that makes it fit in a bag. Made from 100% recycled GRS-certified plastic, for 167 g on the head.
The JBL Headphones app tunes the equaliser to your taste, and Voice Aware lets you hear your own voice during a call. Connected to two devices at once, 220 g on the head, 76 hours of stated listening.
Three microphones per ear and wind-cutting processing keep the voice intelligible mid-run. Up to 12 h of listening from the earbuds with noise cancelling off, and 48 h in total with the case.
Two battery regimes: 10 h from the earbuds alone and 40 h in total with the case, noise cancelling on; 12 h and 48 h with it off. Ambient Aware and TalkThru let outside sounds back in.
The silicone ear hook with memory wire bends to any ear shape and stays put during exercise. 10.5 g per earbud, touch controls and Ambient Aware mode to stay aware of the road.
Thirty-five hours in total with the case with noise cancelling off, and 20 h with it on. Silicone wingtips hold the earbud without pressing, from the sofa to a run, and an ambient sound mode keeps you in touch.
•35 h in total with the case without noise cancelling, 20 h with it
Airy and wide without giving up all isolation: the 50 mm drivers cover 10 Hz to 30 kHz, with bass that is present but controlled and readable mids. It plugs straight into a computer.
