How does the HP OmniBook X Flip turn into a tablet?
Its hinge lets the screen rotate through 360°: you switch from laptop mode to tent mode for a presentation, to stand mode for watching a video, then to tablet mode by folding the screen all the way back behind the keyboard. The panel remains a multi-touch screen in each of these positions.
How good is the 3K OLED screen on this HP OmniBook X Flip 14?
It is the machine's highlight: 2880 × 1800 pixels in OLED, 100% DCI-P3, a 0.2 ms response time and a variable refresh rate of 48 to 120 Hz that adjusts to the content to save battery. Expect 400 nits in everyday use and 500 nits with HDR content.
Is this 2-in-1's touchscreen protected against scratches?
Yes, by edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass 3, designed to resist scratches better than an ordinary panel — a real concern on a device you operate with your fingers and carry around open. The panel is also certified low blue light and Eyesafe.
Can memory be added to this HP OmniBook X Flip?
No. The 16 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 is built in and the number of user-accessible memory slots is zero: the configuration is fixed at purchase. These 16 GB remain comfortable for multitasking, photo editing and light video editing.
What battery life does HP quote for this OmniBook X Flip?
There are two figures: up to 14 h 45 min in general use and up to 17 h 45 min for video playback alone. The first is the one to go by for a working day. Fast charging then brings the 59 Wh battery back to around 50% in 30 minutes, with the device switched off.
Does this HP OmniBook X Flip have a dedicated graphics card?
No: the Intel Arc 130V graphics are integrated into the Core Ultra 5 226V processor. They are more than enough for photo editing, light video editing and driving the 3K display, but a recent game at high settings or heavy 3D rendering calls for a machine with a separate graphics card.
Can you connect a monitor and a USB flash drive to this OmniBook without an adapter?
Yes. The chassis keeps two 10 Gbps USB-A ports and an HDMI 2.1 output, in addition to a Thunderbolt 4 port and a second USB-C port. Both Type-C ports can also charge a phone while the PC is asleep, thanks to HP Sleep and Charge. There is, however, no RJ-45 network port.
Can the webcam on this HP 2-in-1 be covered?
Yes, a physical privacy shutter covers the lens, and a dedicated key mutes the microphone. The camera is a 5 MP infrared unit with temporal noise reduction: it is also used to sign in with facial recognition through Windows Hello.
Which edition of Windows comes with this HP OmniBook X Flip?
Windows 11 Home, in its single-language version. It fully covers personal, student or creative use. If you need BitLocker, domain join or enterprise Group Policy, you will have to move up to the Pro edition, sold separately.
