1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the Aruba J9993A module a standalone switch?
No: it is an expansion card to be installed in an Aruba zl2 chassis. It has no power supply or management of its own — it is the host switch that controls it. So first check that you have a compatible chassis.
How many 10 Gigabit ports does the Aruba J9993A module add?
Eight SFP+ slots, accepting both 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps. This dual speed lets you connect older and newer links on the same card, without dedicating a module to each generation.
What does the MACsec encryption on the Aruba J9993A module provide?
It encrypts traffic on each link, at the level of the link itself. On a fibre that runs through a shared room or an accessible false ceiling, this is what prevents physical eavesdropping on the cable from giving access to the data.
What else do you need besides the Aruba J9993A module to connect fibre?
One SFP+ transceiver per port used. An SFP+ slot is an empty cage: the optical or copper module plugs into it, and is chosen according to the distance to be covered and the type of fibre installed.
Why add a module rather than replace the switch?
Because the speed upgrade is done without replacing the switch already in place: the chassis, its configuration and its cabling stay the same. That is the whole point of a modular architecture, and the savings apply to operations as much as to hardware.
Is the Aruba 8-port SFP MACsec module new and under warranty?
New, reference J9993A, in original HPE Aruba packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested if you make a claim.
