1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the PreSonus HD7 cable detach?
No: the 2.5 m cable is fixed. This is the main limitation of this model compared with the HD9, which has a detachable cable — on studio headphones, a damaged cable cannot therefore be replaced on its own.
Why are the HD7 presented as tracking headphones?
Because their passive isolation prevents the monitor mix from bleeding back into the mic: the ear cushions surround the ear and keep the sound in. That is what a clean vocal recording in a booth requires, whereas open headphones spoil the recording.
How good are the 40 mm drivers of the HD7?
They are 40 mm neodymium-magnet drivers covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a response PreSonus describes as faithful, neither flattering nor harsh. That is what you expect from monitoring headphones: hearing the mix exactly as it is.
Do the HD7 need a headphone amplifier?
Their impedance is 32 ohms and their sensitivity 98 dB: the headphone output of an audio interface, a laptop or a tablet is enough. 250-ohm studio headphones, on the other hand, require a dedicated amplifier.
What is in the box of the PreSonus HD7?
Two items: the headphones and a screw-on 6.35 mm jack adapter. The adapter is what lets you plug them into an interface, a console or an amp, beyond a computer's 3.5 mm socket.
Do these headphones have electronic noise cancellation?
No, no active cancellation: isolation is entirely passive, provided by the closed-back circumaural design. Nothing processes the signal, which is exactly what you want from monitoring headphones.
Are the PreSonus HD7 headphones new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty provided by the invoice. Keep it: it is all you need for any workshop repair.
