1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Audio-Technica ATH-M30X closed-back monitoring headphones: the all-rounder that goes from studio to DJ booth without changing headphones, for mixing, recording and DJing.
Design: closed-back circumaural with 90° swivelling ear cups — for single-ear monitoring, one ear in the headphones and the other on the booth, as DJs like it, and careful passive isolation that blocks out noise when recording.
Sound: 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets, CCAW voice coils and an extended 15 Hz - 22 kHz response: finer detail, well suited to mixing and mastering.
Cable: 3 m straight cable and 3.5 mm jack, supplied with a 6.35 mm screw-on adapter for audio interfaces and headphone amps.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the ATH-M30X cable detachable?
No. The 3 m straight cable is fixed: it does not detach and ends in a 3.5 mm jack plug. This length is designed for the studio, where you stay some distance from the interface or console; when on the move, coil the excess in the carrying pouch provided.
What is in the box, and can it be connected to an audio interface?
The box contains the headphones, a carrying pouch and a screw-on 6.35 mm jack adapter. The original plug is a 3.5 mm jack: the adapter screws onto it for audio interfaces and headphone amps, with no risk of losing it mid-session.
What is the 90° swivelling ear cup for?
It allows one-ear monitoring: one ear on the headphones, the other on the booth — the everyday move DJs use to cue a track. This is what lets the M30X cover mixing, monitoring and the DJ booth with a single pair of headphones, without switching equipment between uses.
What does the M30X offer compared with the M20X?
The frequency response extends up to 22 kHz, i.e. 2 kHz more treble than the M20X, with finer precision in the detail — an asset for mixing and mastering. The 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnets and CCAW voice coils cover 15 Hz – 22 kHz, at 96 dB with 47 ohms.
Is the noise isolation active or passive?
It is passive: the closed-back circumaural design encloses the ear and blocks noise, with no electronics or power. This is what makes the headphones usable in a recording booth and keeps a mix clear in a noisy environment.
Are they comfortable and easy to carry every day?
They weigh 220 g without the cable and fit in their carrying pouch, which is included. The fixed 3 m cable is nevertheless bulky outside the studio: these are wired monitoring headphones, designed for the workstation and the DJ booth more than for the daily commute.
Are these Audio-Technica ATH-M30X headphones new and under warranty?
Yes: they are new, in their original packaging, supplied with their invoice, which serves as the 1-year warranty. You receive the headphones, their screw-on 6.35 mm adapter and their carrying pouch.
