Frequently asked questions about this product

Is 512 GB worthwhile on an iPhone 17?
It depends on video: the phone films in 4K Dolby Vision at 120 frames per second, a bulky format. For photos and apps, 256 GB is enough; once you film regularly, the 512 GB is worth it.
Do the iPhone 17's two rear cameras have the same resolution?
Yes, both are 48 MP: the wide Fusion camera and the ultra wide. This consistency avoids the drop in quality you notice when switching from a high-resolution main sensor to a much more modest ultra wide.
Does the iPhone 17's display stay on in standby?
Yes, thanks to the always-on mode: the time and key information stay displayed at very low brightness, without waking the phone. The Dynamic Island, at the top of the screen, shows ongoing activities there.
How do you unlock the iPhone 17?
With Face ID, the facial recognition provided by the 12 MP TrueDepth camera on the front, which is also used for selfies and video calls.
Does the iPhone 17 come with a power adapter?
No: the 20 W USB-C power adapter is sold separately. Plan for one if you do not already have one; otherwise, the phone will charge at the power of your current charger. Any sufficiently powerful USB-C adapter will do.

Up to 41 hours of video playback — the figure measures continuous video playback, not a day of mixed use. The battery is lithium-ion and charges via USB-C or wirelessly on a compatible charging pad.

Yes: its 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel features ProMotion 120 Hz, reaches 3,000 nits in HDR, stays on in standby and incorporates the Dynamic Island — features reserved for the Pro models in the previous generation.
