Is 512 GB worthwhile on an iPhone 17?
It depends on how much video you shoot: the device films in 4K Dolby Vision at 120 frames per second, a bulky format. For photos and apps, 256 GB is enough; once you film regularly, 512 GB makes sense.
Does the iPhone 17 come with a charger?
No: the 20 W USB-C power adapter is sold separately. Plan to buy one if you do not already own one; otherwise, the phone will charge at the power of your current charger. Any sufficiently powerful USB-C adapter will do.
Is the iPhone 17's USB-C port fast?
It runs at USB 3, at 10 Gbps — five times the speed of the USB 2 on entry-level models, and four times slower than the Thunderbolt 3 on the Pro versions. That is more than enough to offload 4K videos to a computer.

Up to 41 hours of video playback — the figure measured is indeed continuous video playback, not a day of mixed use. The battery is lithium-ion and charges via USB-C or wirelessly on a compatible charging pad.

Yes: its 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel features ProMotion 120 Hz, reaches 3,000 nits in HDR, stays on in standby and includes the Dynamic Island — features reserved for the Pro models in the previous generation.
How many lenses does the iPhone 17 have?
Two on the back, both 48 MP: a Fusion wide-angle camera and an ultra-wide. This uniform resolution avoids a drop in quality when switching lenses, and enables a 2x optical telephoto by cropping the centre of the sensor.
Is the iPhone 17 Wi-Fi 7 compatible?
Yes, with sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G on top, a U2 UWB chip that locates a compatible accessory to within a centimetre, and eSIM. Bluetooth is version 5.3.

Its front is made of Ceramic Shield 2, the latest generation of Apple's toughened glass — the same treatment as on the Pro models in the range. On this point, the iPhone 17 makes no compromise.

Is the iPhone 17 bulky?
