This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the volume on the JBL Junior 470NC really capped?
Yes, JBL Safe Sound technology keeps the sound below 85 dB, and the maximum measured sound pressure is given as 81 dB. Your child can turn the volume all the way up: the headphones will not go beyond this cap.
Can a parent set a limit lower than 85 dB?
Yes, the JBL Headphones app lets you go below 85 dB and also limit daily listening time. A PIN code protects these settings so that your child cannot change them.
Can you find out how long your child has been listening?
Yes, the app provides real-time reports as well as daily and weekly summaries: listening time and volume level. This is information rarely available on headphones, and it changes the conversation at home.
What is the point of active noise cancellation on children's headphones?
To stop them turning up the volume. In a car or a noisy room, the reflex is to raise the volume to drown out the background noise; active cancellation removes that background, so the child listens at a lower level. This is the reasoning JBL puts forward.
What battery life does the Junior 470NC offer?
Up to 50 hours, with noise cancellation off — that is the stated condition for this figure. With it on, noise cancellation uses power and battery life drops markedly. A full charge takes less than 2 hours, and 5 minutes gives 3 hours.
Can your child listen when the battery is flat?
Yes, a 1.2 m 3.5 mm audio jack cable comes with the headphones: plugged into a tablet, a computer or a car screen, it lets your child listen without the battery. The cable is detachable, so it can be replaced if it eventually gives way.
Will the headband keep up as your child grows?
Yes, the headband adjusts to your child's head and the manufacturer presents these as headphones that grow with the child. It is padded with a 12 mm cushion, which also limits sound leakage by sealing the contact better.
Are the controls easy for small hands to use?
Yes, the buttons are oversized and described as durable, designed for a child to use without getting it wrong. A built-in mic also lets them talk to a teacher during a remote lesson or call the family.
Do the headphones fit easily in a school bag?
Yes, they fold flat and weigh 196 g. The ear cushions are over-ear, with an inner opening of 55 × 37.9 mm: your child's ear sits inside rather than being pressed.
What is in the box of the Junior 470NC?
