The LBB4540/04 is the four-channel pocket receiver of the Integrus interpretation system. It picks up the infrared radiation of the radiators in the room, and the participant selects the language they want to hear in their headphones. It suits meetings offering up to four languages.

Three gestures, and you listen
The participant plugs in their headphones, presses the on button, then scrolls through the channels with the two side keys; the selected number appears on the two-digit screen. The receiver only offers the channels actually used by the transmitter: nobody lands on a silent channel. A slider sets the volume, and the sound mutes by itself when the signal becomes too weak, rather than letting a hiss through.

Two AA alkaline batteries last up to 200 hours. For a fleet used every week, the LBB4550/10 NiMH pack offers up to 75 hours and charges without leaving the receiver: the charging electronics are built in, and an LBB4560 charging case brings an empty pack back to full in 1 h 45. Unplugged from the headphones, the receiver switches off and draws nothing more.
Check the room before the session
A measurement mode lets the installer walk around the room and check the coverage of the radiators before the delegates arrive. The screen also shows good reception with an antenna symbol, and low batteries with a battery symbol.

Neither batteries, nor battery pack, nor headphones are supplied with the receiver. For more than four languages, choose the 8-channel LBB4540/08 version.
The LBB4550/10 battery pack is sold in tens, and the Integrus INT-TXO transmitter feeds the radiators of the room. The rest of the system is in the video conferencing section and on the Bosch page.

Is the LBB4540/04 enough for a conference in 6 languages?
No. It receives at most 4 channels: it suits a meeting offering up to four languages, floor language included. For more languages, Bosch offers the 8-channel LBB4540/08 and the 32-channel LBB4540/32. The receiver only shows the channels actually used by the transmitter: nobody scrolls through empty channels.
Are the batteries or the battery pack included?
No. The receiver runs on two AA alkaline batteries, up to 200 hours, or on the LBB4550/10 rechargeable NiMH pack, up to 75 hours; neither is supplied. The charging electronics are built in: placed in an LBB4560 charging case, the receiver charges its pack from empty to full in 1 h 45.
Which headphones can be plugged into this receiver?
Any headphone with a 3.5 mm jack plug whose impedance is between 32 ohms and 2 kohms. The output is stereo and suits mono or stereo headphones. Bosch provides the HDP-LW lightweight headphone and the HDP-SE single-ear headphone. Headphones are not supplied with the receiver; unplugging them switches the receiver off, and it then draws nothing.
How does the participant choose their language?
They scroll through the channels with the two side keys and read the selected number on the small LCD screen. The same screen shows good reception with an antenna symbol and low energy with a battery symbol. Volume is set with the slider. When the signal becomes insufficient, the receiver mutes the sound rather than letting a hiss through.
Which Integrus equipment does it work with?
It picks up the infrared signal from the Integrus LBB4511/00 and LBB4512/00 radiators, powered by the system transmitter. It charges in LBB4560 cases and accepts the LBB4550/10 pack. A measurement mode also lets you check the radiators' coverage in the room before the session.
