A tower UPS to protect a complete workstation: line-interactive with voltage regulation and 1500 VA / 1050 W.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the moment the power fails, absorbs surges and corrects voltage dips and spikes to deliver stable power, with a pure sine wave ideal for modern power supplies.
Power: 1500 VA for 1050 W of usable power — a complete workstation or a small server.
Runtime: backup battery during power cuts — time to save your work and shut down properly.

How long does the SMV1500AI run on battery?
11 minutes at 50% load, i.e. 525 W, and 6 minutes at 70%, i.e. 735 W. A full recharge then takes 4 hours.
Is the SMV1500AI's output a pure sine wave?
Yes, the output is a sine wave — a real advantage for modern power-factor-corrected power supplies, which cope poorly with a stepped signal.
How long does it take to switch to battery?
2 milliseconds on average — markedly faster than the usual 6 to 10 ms in this category. The switchover is completely imperceptible to a computer.
What voltage range does the SMV1500AI's AVR accept?
From 160 to 295 V, at a frequency of 45 to 65 Hz. As long as the mains stays within this wide window, the UPS corrects without drawing on the battery.
Which outlets does the SMV1500AI have?
Six C13 outlets, the format used by computer and server power cords, with one C14 inlet. The box contains a USB cable, the manual and the documentation CD.
Why does 1500 VA only give 1050 W?
The power factor is 0.7: 1500 × 0.7 = 1050 W actually available. Enough to cover a complete workstation — but it is this wattage that you must compare with your equipment.
Can the SMV1500AI be rack-mounted?
No, it comes in tower format only, to be placed on the floor. It weighs 17.8 kg — 20.75 kg with packaging — and is rated at 45 dBA.
Is the APC Easy UPS SMV1500AI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 2 years. It connects to the computer via a USB port for automatic system shutdown, cable included. The datasheet covers the rest.
