Can the Logitech G435 be used with both a PC and a phone?
Yes: the LIGHTSPEED 2.4 GHz connection runs through the USB receiver for a PC or console, and a direct connection covers your mobile. It is listed as compatible with PC, PS5, PS4 and mobile.
Does this headset support spatial audio on console?
Yes: it is listed as compatible with Dolby Atmos, Tempest 3D AudioTech — the PlayStation 5's spatial audio — and Windows Sonic. The spatialisation is then processed by the machine, not by the headset.
What battery life and range does this model offer?
Up to 18 hours per charge and a range of up to 10 metres with the receiver. Charging is via USB-C: a phone cable is enough between two games.
How is your voice picked up without a boom mic?
Through two beamforming microphones built into the headset: they target your mouth and filter out background noise. Nothing sticks out in front of your face, so you can keep the headset on away from gaming.
Why does this headset weigh only 165 g?
It is the design choice behind the model: an ultra-light format with memory foam ear cushions. Over a session of several hours, the difference from a 300 g headset is the first thing you notice.
How good are the G435's 40 mm drivers?
A 40 mm diaphragm moves enough air to handle in-game bass without distortion: it is the standard diameter for gaming headsets, more generous than on a compact model.
