2 years manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 2 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

It delivers 1200 VA / 650 W of usable power — enough to protect, for example, a PC, a monitor and their accessories. Add up the wattage of your devices: it must stay below 650 W.
How long does the BX1200MI-FR UPS last during a power cut?
Runtime depends on the load:
  • about 5 minutes at half load (300 W)

Are all the UPS outlets protected?
Yes, all 4 outlets are protected (battery backup and surge protection), with a built-in overload circuit breaker.
Does the BX1200MI-FR UPS deliver a pure sine wave?
No, it provides a stepped approximation to a sine wave (pseudo-sine). This suits the vast majority of PCs and office peripherals; however, some very sensitive power supplies or motors may prefer a pure sine wave.
Is the APC BX1200MI-FR UPS battery replaceable?
Yes: a replaceable 12 V sealed lead-acid battery (APC reference RBC175). Its service life is about 3 to 5 years, and a full recharge takes about 8 hours.
Can the BX1200MI-FR UPS be connected to a PC via USB for automatic shutdown?
No: this model has no USB communication port, so there is no automatic shutdown software. It provides protection, with an LED status indicator and an audible alarm in the event of a power cut or overload.
Does the APC BX1200MI-FR UPS correct voltage fluctuations without wearing down the battery?
Yes, thanks to its automatic voltage regulator (AVR): it corrects voltage dips and surges (input range 140–300 V) without switching to battery, which preserves its runtime.
Is the APC BX1200MI-FR UPS noisy?
Its noise level is about 40 dBA, unobtrusive in normal operation. An audible alarm sounds only in the event of a power cut or overload.
Can the UPS be started without mains power (Cold Start function)?
Yes, the “Cold Start” function lets you start up and power a device from the battery even when there is no mains power.
Can the APC BX1200MI-FR UPS be rack-mounted?
No, it is a vertical tower model, not rack-mountable. Dimensions: 19 × 14 × 39 cm, weight 7.6 kg.
