1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is the difference between the SAS and SATA interfaces on this HPE drive?
SAS 12 Gb/s is the server interface: twice the throughput of SATA 6 Gb/s, with deeper command queues and a dual access path. A SAS controller accepts a SATA drive, but the reverse is not true — check your controller before ordering.
Which servers does this HPE 2 TB drive fit?
HPE ProLiant rack and tower servers, BladeSystem and Synergy. It is a drive validated for HPE platforms: on a server from another brand, compatibility of the drive carrier and firmware is not assured.
What does this drive's instant secure erase make possible?
It makes the data unreadable in a few seconds, instead of several hours of overwriting. It is the feature that lets you recycle or dispose of a server drive without ever exposing its contents.
What is digitally signed firmware for?
To prevent unauthorised firmware from being installed on the drive. The drive rejects any code that does not carry the manufacturer's signature — protection against an attack aimed at the lowest level of storage.
Is this HPE drive suitable for continuous operation?
Yes, it is presented as designed for demanding environments running 24 hours a day, with a “Business Critical” profile: capacity and cost per gigabyte take priority over raw speed, for mass storage in production.
How fast is this HPE 2 TB drive?
7,200 revolutions per minute, with a read throughput below 300 MB/s — typical of a mechanical drive. For faster access, you need to turn to an SSD: this drive targets capacity, not latency.
Is this HPE 2 TB SAS hard drive new and under warranty?
