What is the Logitech Swytch for?
It connects a laptop to the room's conference camera and display with a single cable. Everyone can run their meeting from their own machine, with the video conferencing service of their choice.
Do you need an adapter to connect the Swytch to a laptop?
No. The connector plugs into any laptop with a USB 3.0 or higher port, Type-A or Type-C: Logitech states that no dongle, splitter or HDMI port is required.
Does the Swytch charge the laptop?
Yes, up to 60 W through the same USB-C cable. The laptop stays powered throughout the meeting: this is what avoids a second cable on the table.
Which room systems does the Swytch work with?
Logitech Rally, MeetUp and GROUP systems, as well as Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms. Its very purpose is to let you use these rooms with a different video service from the one deployed there.
What resolution does the Swytch transmit?
3840 × 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second, over HDMI 2.0 — one input and one output. The USB link is 3.2 Gen 1, i.e. 5 Gbps.
How many USB ports does the Swytch offer?
Six USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports: three USB-A, two USB-C and one micro-USB B. Enough to connect the camera, the audio and a room accessory to the same unit.
Where is the Swytch connector stored between meetings?
On the supplied magnetic dock, placed on the table, or through an existing cable hatch. Built-in cable holders keep the connections in place in both cases.
What is in the Swytch box?
The transmitter and the receiver, the power adapter with a European plug, the HDMI and USB cables and the mounting kit. Installation requires no additional purchase.
What are the dimensions of the Swytch's two units?
The receiver measures 164 × 90 × 27.4 mm and the transmitter 120 × 120 × 27.4 mm. This 27 mm thickness is the measurement to check for mounting under a tabletop.
