Product overview

A desktop UPS to safeguard a workstation and its peripherals: line-interactive with voltage regulation, 1300 VA / 780 W and sine-wave output.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery during a power cut, absorbs surges and stabilises an unstable voltage (dips and spikes) without using the battery — especially useful wherever the mains supply is erratic.
Power: 1300 VA for 780 W of usable power — a PC, a monitor and their accessories.
Outlets: 8 C13 output outlets (computer power cords).
Management: USB port to connect the UPS to the PC and trigger an automatic, clean shutdown when the battery runs low.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How much load can you connect to the BR1300MI?
780 W, for a rated 1300 VA. That is enough for a complete workstation with its monitor, or a small server: add up the watts printed on your devices' power supplies, never the VA in the product name.
How many outlets does the BR1300MI have?
Eight C13 outputs, the connector used on computer and server power cords, with a C14 input on a 1.83 m cord. Plan for IEC power cords for your devices.
Can the BR1300MI battery be changed without switching anything off?
Yes, the battery is hot-swappable: neither the UPS nor the connected devices need to be shut down. Its rated service life is up to 5 years, and an automatic self-test checks its condition periodically.
Does the BR1300MI protect the network connection?
Yes, two RJ-45 ports pass through the unit and protect the line against surges, up to gigabit speed: the network cable runs through the UPS without losing throughput. On the mains side, energy absorption reaches 509 joules.
Can the BR1300MI shut down the PC by itself?
Yes, through its USB port, with the cable included: connected to the computer, it triggers a clean system shutdown when the battery runs low. Three separate alarms signal battery mode, low battery and overload.
Over what voltage range does the BR1300MI correct without using the battery?
Between 176 and 294 V. Within this range, the automatic regulator brings the voltage back to its normal value without switching to battery, which therefore stays full for real power cuts and wears out more slowly.
Can the BR1300MI fit under a monitor?
Yes: it is only 100 mm high, 250 wide and 382 deep — a flat format, unlike the usual slim towers. Still, allow for 10.2 kg on the furniture.
How long does the BR1300MI take to recharge?
16 hours for a full recharge: that is long, and it means you cannot count on its full runtime right after an extended power cut. The lead-acid battery is sealed, and therefore maintenance-free.
Is the APC Back-UPS Pro BR1300MI new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. It has an LCD screen, an ECO mode that reduces its consumption, cold start on battery and passive cooling, with no fan.
