Is a single cable enough between my laptop and the Dell UltraSharp U2724DE?
Yes, via the upstream Thunderbolt 4 port: it carries the picture in DisplayPort 1.4 mode, the hub's data and the Ethernet network connection, and charges the computer at up to 90 W. The 1 m Thunderbolt 4 cable is supplied. You need a laptop with a Thunderbolt port or a video-capable USB-C port.
Can you daisy-chain a second monitor from the UltraSharp U2724DE?
Yes, in two ways: via the dedicated DisplayPort 1.4 output, or via the second Thunderbolt 4 port, a downstream port designed for daisy-chaining that delivers 15 W. PIP and PBP modes also let you display two sources on the same panel.
Can you control two computers with a single keyboard on this Dell monitor?
Yes, the KVM function is built in: one machine connects via Thunderbolt 4, the other via the upstream USB-C port reserved for data, and the same keyboard, mouse and monitor switch from one to the other.
