1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Why are these Bosch headphones worn without ear cushions?
For hygiene: with no foam, the earpieces can be cleaned with a wipe between users. That is what matters in an interpreting booth or a conference room, where the same headphones pass from one participant to another several times a day.
Can you still add ear cushions to these headphones?
Yes, Bosch explicitly provides for this for comfort, and lists the replacement ear cushion under the designation HDP-IHDPEP, shared by the HDP-IHDP and the HDP-IHDS. An identified wear part, so it can be replaced without changing the headphones.
What does compliance with the EN ISO 20109:2016 standard guarantee?
It is the standard that sets the equipment requirements for simultaneous interpreting: among other things, it covers the reproduction quality expected of interpreter headphones. The product also carries a declaration of conformity with ISO 22259:2019.
What frequency response is actually covered?
50 Hz to 18,000 Hz, measured at ±10 dB, with an impedance of 32 ohms and a sensitivity of 102 dB at 1 kHz. Distortion and noise stay below 1 %: on an interpreted voice listened to for hours, it is listening fatigue that is reduced.
How do the Bosch interpreter headphones connect?
Via a 1.5 m cable ending in a gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo jack plug. The plating limits oxidation of the contact, the most common cause of crackling on equipment plugged in and unplugged every day.
How much do these headphones weigh on an interpreter's head?
120 g including the cable, with earpieces 53 mm in diameter. It is featherweight, achieved through a pared-back ergonomic shape: over a day in the booth, lightness comes before everything else.
Does the headband hold up over time on shared equipment?
That is Bosch's argument: the headband is made of stainless steel and keeps its shape throughout the product's life, while remaining flexible and adjustable to different wearing positions. A slackened headband is the first defect in a fleet of conference headphones.
Are the Bosch interpreter headphones new and under warranty?
Yes, new and genuine, with a 1-year warranty provided by the invoice. The full measurements are given in the Bosch datasheet.
