How much space does the Galaxy Z Flip 6 take up once folded?
Folded, it measures 85.1 × 71.9 × 14.9 mm: roughly the size of a card holder, compared with 165.1 × 71.9 × 6.9 mm unfolded. That is the whole point of the format — a 6.7-inch screen that fits in a jacket pocket or a small bag.
What is the Galaxy Z Flip 6's small outer screen for?
The FlexWindow, a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED panel, lets you check your notifications, reply, control music or frame a selfie with the main camera — without having to unfold the phone every time.
Is the Galaxy Z Flip 6 as water-resistant as a conventional phone?
Its rating is IP48, not IP68. The 8 stands for protection against immersion in fresh water, but the 4 only covers solid objects larger than 1 mm: fine dust can reach the mechanism. Keep it away from sand and dusty environments.
How many SIM cards does the Galaxy Z Flip 6 take?
Two set-ups are possible: one physical nano-SIM plus one eSIM, or two eSIMs. So check that your operator offers eSIM if you plan to use two lines on this device.
Is the Galaxy Z Flip 6's hinge a weak point?
It is called the FlexHinge and sits in an Armor Aluminium frame, with the outer screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is also the mechanism that lets you leave the device half open, standing on a table.
How good are the Galaxy Z Flip 6's cameras?
A stabilised 50 MP f/1.8 wide-angle and a 12 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, with an optical-quality 2x zoom provided by the adaptive sensor. Video goes up to 4K at 60 frames per second, and the inner camera is 10 MP.
Can you take a selfie with the Z Flip 6's main camera?
That is the big advantage of the format: the 3.4-inch FlexWindow acts as a viewfinder while you shoot with the rear sensors, which are of far better quality — 50 MP stabilised — than the 10 MP inner camera, whose focus is fixed.
Is a 4,000 mAh battery enough on the Galaxy Z Flip 6?
It is the trade-off of the format: folded, the device is only 85 mm tall, which limits the space available. The FlexWindow helps in practice — checking a notification without opening the phone avoids switching on the large 6.7-inch panel.
Does the Galaxy Z Flip 6 offer desktop mode on an external screen?
This feature, Samsung DeX, is not supported on the Z Flip 6. Sound does, however, come out in stereo, and the USB-C port runs at USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) for transfers to a computer.
How do you unlock the Galaxy Z Flip 6?
With a fingerprint reader, built into the frame — a sensible choice on a foldable, where the sensor stays within reach whether the device is open or closed. NFC also lets you pay for purchases at the payment terminal.
How good is the Galaxy Z Flip 6's processor?
It is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, an octa-core chip spread across four tiers — 3.39, 3.1, 2.9 and 2.2 GHz — paired with 12 GB of RAM. The “for Galaxy” version is specific to these phones.
Is the Galaxy Z Flip 6 heavy?
No: 187 g, which is less than most conventional large phones, even though it carries two screens and a hinge. Unfolded, it is only 6.9 mm thick for a 6.7-inch 120 Hz panel.
Is the Galaxy Z Flip 6 new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a warranty claim.
