Product overview

Compact desktop UPS to protect a computer workstation: line-interactive with voltage regulation and 800 VA / 480 W.
Technology & protection: it switches to battery the instant the power cuts out, absorbs surges and corrects voltage dips and spikes to deliver steady power.
Power: 800 VA for 480 W of usable output — a PC, a monitor and their accessories.
Outlets: 2 Schuko outlets (earthed household sockets) — plug your devices straight in, no adapter needed.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Horus Plus 800 run on battery?
About 4 minutes at half load, i.e. 240 W. That is short, and deliberately so on a UPS of this size: the battery is there to finish an entry, save and shut down properly, not to keep working.
What does the Horus Plus 800's AVR correct?
A regulator with two boost steps and one buck step — finer than the single boost of entry-level models — restores the voltage without switching to battery. The battery thus remains available for real power cuts.
What does the Horus Plus 800's screen show?
A touch LCD screen shows the load, the voltage and the remaining runtime in real time. A touchscreen is rare at this level of the range: it lets you check and adjust the UPS without going through a computer.
Which data line does this UPS protect?
The telephone line, in RJ11 format, against surges — not the network line. If you also need to protect an Ethernet link, look for a model that states RJ45 protection.
How many outlets, and how much real power?
Two French outlets for 480 W of usable power out of the 800 VA shown, i.e. a power factor of 0.6. This is the right size for a compact workstation: a system unit and its monitor, or an internet router with a set-top box.
Can the UPS start when no mains power is present?
Yes, it has a cold start function: it switches on from the battery even without mains power. It also restarts on its own when power returns, without any action needed.
How do you connect the Horus Plus 800 to a computer?
Through its USB port, with the cable included, and the ViewPower software, which monitors the UPS and triggers shutdown of the computer before the battery runs out.
How much space does the Horus Plus 800 take up, and is it noisy?
300 × 101 × 142 mm and 5 kg: a very compact tower format that fits on a corner of a desk. The noise level stays below 40 dB, discreet next to a workstation.
Is the nJoy Horus Plus 800 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document for 3 years. It houses one internal, replaceable GP09122L battery and delivers an output frequency held to ±1 Hz. The datasheet details the rest.
